| 36 | And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Come, let us return and visit the brethren in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are." | Paul and Barnabas Separate Ac.15.36-41 | Μετὰ δέ τινας ἡμέρας εἶπεν πρὸς Βαρναβᾶν Παῦλος, Ἐπιστρέψαντες δὴ ἐπισκεψώμεθα τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς κατὰ πόλιν πᾶσαν ἐν αἷς κατηγγείλαμεν τὸν λόγον τοῦ κυρίου, πῶς ἐχουσιν. |

| 37 | And Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark. | | Βαρναβᾶς δὲ ἐβούλετο συμπαραλαβεῖν καὶ τὸν Ἰωάννην τὸν καλούμενον Μᾶρκον· |

| 38 | But Paul thought best not to take with them one who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. | | Παῦλος δὲ ἠξίου τὸν ἀποστάντα ἀπ' αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Παμφυλίας καὶ μὴ συνελθόντα αὐτοῖς εἰς τὸ ἐργον μὴ συμπαραλαμβάνειν τοῦτον. |

| 39 | And there arose a sharp contention, so that they separated from each other; Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus, | | ἐγένετο δὲ παροξυσμὸς ὡστε ἀποχωρισθῆναι αὐτοὺς ἀπ' ἀλλήλων, τόν τε Βαρναβᾶν παραλαβόντα τὸν Μᾶρκον ἐκπλεῦσαι εἰς Κύπρον. |

| 40 | but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord. | | Παῦλος δὲ ἐπιλεξάμενος Σιλᾶν ἐξῆλθεν, παραδοθεὶς τῇ χάριτι τοῦ κυρίου ὑπὸ τῶν ἀδελφῶν, |

| 41 | And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches. | | διήρχετο δὲ τὴν Συρίαν καὶ τὴν Κιλικίαν ἐπιστηρίζων τὰς ἐκκλησίας. |
