36	You know the word which he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),	Ac.10.36-43	τὸν λόγον ὃν ἀπέστειλεν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ εὐαγγελιζόμενος εἰρήνην διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ - οὗτός ἐστιν πάντων κύριος -
37	the word which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:		ὑμεῖς οἰδατε, τὸ γενόμενον ῥῆμα καθ' ὁλης τῆς Ἰουδαίας, ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας μετὰ τὸ βάπτισμα ὃ ἐκήρυξεν Ἰωάννης,
38	how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.		Ἰησοῦν τὸν ἀπὸ Nαζαρέθ, ὡς ἐχρισεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεὸς πνεύματι ἀγίῳ καὶ δυνάμει, ὃς διῆλθεν εὐεργετῶν καὶ ἰώμενος πάντας τοὺς καταδυναστευομένους ὑπὸ τοῦ διαβόλου, ὅτι ὁ θε ὸς ἦν μετ' αὐτοῦ.
39	And we are witnesses to all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree;		καὶ ἡμεῖς μάρτυρες πάντων ὧν ἐποίησεν ἐν τε τῇ χώρᾳ τῶν Ἰουδαίων καὶ Ἰερουσαλήμ· ὃν καὶ ἀνεῖλαν κρεμάσαντες ἐπὶ ξύλου.
40	but God raised him on the third day and made him manifest;		τοῦτον ὁ θεὸς ἠγειρεν ἐν τῇ τρίτῃ ἡμέρᾳ καὶ ἐδωκεν αὐτὸν ἐμφανῆ γενέσθαι,
41	not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.		οὐ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ ἀλλὰ μάρτυσιν τοῖς προκεχειροτονημένοις ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ, ἡμῖν, οἱτινες συνεφάγομεν καὶ συνεπίομεν αὐτῷ μετὰ τὸ ἀναστῆναι αὐτὸν ἐκ νεκρῶν·
42	And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that he is the one ordained by God to be judge of the living and the dead.		καὶ παρήγγειλεν ἡμῖν κηρύξαι τῷ λαῷ καὶ διαμαρΤύρασθαι ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ ὡρισμένος ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ κριτὴς ζώντων καὶ νεκρῶν.
43	To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."		τούτῳ πάντες οἱ προφῆται μαρτυροῦσιν, ἀφεσιν ἀμαρτιῶν λαβεῖν διὰ τοῦ ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ πάντα τὸν πιστεύοντα εἰς αὐτόν.

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.

Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
