30 | Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants upon his throne, | προφήτης οὖν ὑπάρχων, καὶ εἰδὼς ὅτι ὁρκῳ ὤμοσεν αὐτῷ ὁ θεὸς ἐκ καρποῦ τῆς ὀσφύος αὐτοῦ καθίσαι ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ,
31 | he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.
32 | This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.
33 | Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you see and hear.
34 | For David did not ascend into the heavens; but he himself says, 'The Lord said to my Lord, | - till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet Ac.2.34-35 | Ps.110.1 | οὐ γὰρ Δαυὶδ ἀνέβη εἰς τοὺς οὐρανούς, λέγει δὲ αὐτός, Εἶπεν ὁ κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου, |

36 | Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."
37 | Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" | Ἀκούσαντες δὲ κατενύγησαν τὴν καρδίαν, εἶπόν τε πρὸς τὸν Πέτρον καὶ τοὺς λοιποὺς ἀποστόλους, Τί ποιήσωμεν, ἀνδρες ἀδελφοί;
38 | And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 | For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him."
40 | And he testified with many other words and exhorted them, saying, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation."
41 | So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
42 | And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
43 | And fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
44 | And all who believed were together and had all things in common; | πάντες δὲ οἱ πιστεύοντες ἦσαν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ καὶ εἶχον ἀπαντα κοινά,
45 | and they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, as any had need.
46 | And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they partook of food with glad and generous hearts, | καθ' ἡμέραν τε προσκαρτεροῦντες ὁμοθυμαδὸν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, κλῶντές τε κατ' οἶκον ἀρτον, μετελάμβανον τροφῆς ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει καὶ ἀφελότητι καρδίας,
47 | praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
3 1 | Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. | The lame man healed at the gate of the Temple Acts 3:1-10 (Beautiful Gate, The Temple, Jerusalem) | Πέτρος δὲ καὶ Ἰωάννης ἀνέβαινον εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ὡραν τῆς προσευχῆς τὴν ἐνάτην. |
2 | And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at that gate of the temple which is called Beautiful to ask alms of those who entered the temple.
3 | Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms.
4 | And Peter directed his gaze at him, with John, and said, "Look at us."
5 | And he fixed his attention upon them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 | But Peter said, "I have no silver and gold, but I give you what I have; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."
7 | And he took him by the right hand and raised him up; and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.
8 | And leaping up he stood and walked and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
9 | And all the people saw him walking and praising God, | καὶ εἶδεν πᾶς ὁ λαὸς αὐτὸν περιπατοῦντα καὶ αἰνοῦντα τὸν θεόν,
10 | and recognized him as the one who sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. |
