32 | He who comes from heaven Some witnesses insert: is above all and ... bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one accepts his witness. | | ὃ ἑώρακεν καὶ ἠκουσεν τοῦτο μαρτυρεῖ, καὶ τὴν μαρτυρίαν αὐτοῦ οὐδεὶς λαμβάνει. |

33 | To accept his witness is to attest that God speaks true; | | ὁ λαβὼν αὐτοῦ τὴν μαρτυρίαν ἐσφράγισεν ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἀληθής ἐστιν. |

34 | for he whom God sent utters the words of God, so measureless is God's gift of the Spirit. | | ὃν γὰρ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ θεοῦ λαλεῖ, οὐ γὰρ ἐκ μέτρου δίδωσιν τὸ Πνεῦμα. |

35 | The Father loves the Son and has entrusted him with all authority. | | ὁ πατὴρ ἀγαπᾷ τὸν υἱόν, καὶ πάντα δέδωκεν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ. |

36 | He who puts his faith in the Son has hold of eternal life, but he who disobeys the Son shall not see that life; God's wrath rests upon him.
| | ὁ πιστεύων εἰς τὸν υἱὸν ἐχει ζωὴν αἰώνιον· ὁ δὲ ἀπειθῶν τῷ υἱῷ οὐκ ὀψεται ζωήν, ἀλλ' ἡ ὀργὴ τοῦ θεοῦ μένει ἐπ' αὐτόν. |
