23 | WHILE HE WAS in Jerusalem for Passover many gave their allegiance to him when they saw the signs that he performed. | Jesus Knows All Men Jn.2.23-25 (Jerusalem) | Ὡς δὲ ἦν ἐν τοῖς Ἱεροσολύμοις ἐν τῷ πάσχα ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ, πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς τὸ ὀνομα αὐτοῦ, θεωροῦντες αὐτοῦ τὰ σημεῖα ἂ ἐποίει· |

24 | But Jesus for his part would not trust himself to them. He knew men so well, all of them, | | αὐτὸς δὲ Ἰησοῦς οὐκ ἐπίστευεν αὐτὸν αὐτοῖς διὰ τὸ αὐτὸν γινώσκειν πάντας, |

25 | that he needed no evidence from others about a man, for he himself could tell what was in a man.
| | καὶ ὅτι οὐ χρείαν εἶχεν ἵνα τις μαρτυρήσῃ περὶ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου· αὐτὸς γὰρ ἐγίνωσκεν τί ἦν ἐν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ. |
