| 34 | The lamp of your body is the eye. When your eyes are sound, you have light for your whole body; but when the eyes are bad, you are in darkness. | | ὁ λύχνος τοῦ σώματός ἐστιν ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου. ὁταν ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἀπλοῦς ᾖ, καὶ ὁλον τὸ σῶμά σου φωτεινόν ἐστιν· ἐπὰν δὲ πονηρὸς ᾖ, καὶ τὸ σῶμά σου σκοτεινόν. |

| 35 | See to it then that the light you have is not darkness. | | σκόπει οὖν μὴ τὸ φῶς τὸ ἐν σοὶ σκότος ἐστίν. |

| 36 | If you have light for your whole body with no trace of darkness, it will all be as bright as when a lamp flashes its rays upon you.'
| | εἰ οὖν τὸ σῶμά σου ὁλον φωτεινόν, μὴ ἐχον μέρος τι σκοτεινόν, ἐσται φωτεινὸν ὁλον ὡς ὁταν ὁ λύχνος τῇ ἀστραπῇ φωτίζῃ σε. |
