'Learn a lesson from the fig-tree. When its tender shoots appear and are breaking into leaf, you know that summer is near. The Lesson of the Fig Tree Mk.13.28-31 (Olivet) | Mt.24.32-35 | Lk.21.29-33Ἀπὸ δὲ τῆς συκῆς μάθετε τὴν παραβολήν· ὁταν ἠδη ὁ κλάδος αὐτῆς ἀπαλὸς γένηται καὶ ἐκφύῃ τὰ φύλλα, γινώσκετε ὅτι ἐγγὺς τὸ θέρος ἐστίν.
In the same way, when you see all this happening, you may know that the end is near, Or: that he is near. at the very door.
I tell you this: the present generation will live to see it all.
Heaven and earth will pass away; my words will never pass away.
