New English Bible (New Testament) Passage New Testament in Greek (UBS.Ed.26)

John said to him, 'Master, we saw a man driving out devils in your name, and as he was not one of us, we tried to stop him.' He Who is Not against Us is for Us Mk.9.38-41 (Capernaum) | Lk.9.48-50Ἔφη αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰωάννης, Διδάσκαλε, εἰδομέν τινα ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί σου ἐκβάλλοντα δαιμόνια, καὶ ἐκωλύομεν αὐτόν, ὅτι οὐκ ἠκολούθει ἡμῖν.
Jesus said, 'Do not stop him; no one who does a work of divine power in my name will be able in the same breath to speak evil of me.
For he who is not against us is on our side.
I tell you this: if anyone gives you a cup of water to drink because you are followers of the Messiah, that man assuredly will not go unrewarded.
