13He then went up into the hill-country and called the men he wanted; and they went and joined him. The choosing of the Twelve Mk.3.13-19 (Hill of Hattin?) | Mt.10.1-4 | Lk.6.12-16Καὶ ἀναβαίνει εἰς τὸ ὀρος καὶ προσκαλεῖται οὓς ἠθελεν αὐτός, καὶ ἀπῆλθον πρὸς αὐτόν.
14He appointed twelve as his companions, whom he would send out to proclaim the Gospel,  καὶ ἐποίησεν δώδεκα, οὓς καὶ ἀποστόλους ὠνόμασεν, ἵνα ὦσιν μετ' αὐτοῦ καὶ ἵνα ἀποστέλλῃ αὐτοὺς κηρύσσειν
15with a commission to drive out devils.  καὶ ἐχειν ἐξουσίαν ἐκβάλλειν τὰ δαιμόνια·
16So he appointed the Twelve: to Simon he gave the name Peter; καὶ ἐποίησεν τοὺς δώδεκα, καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ὀνομα τῷ Σίμωνι Πέτρον,
17then came the sons of Zebedee, James and his brother John, to whom he gave the name Boanerges, Sons of Thunder; καὶ Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν τοῦ Ἰακώβου, καὶ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτοῖς ὀνόματα Βοανηργές, ὁ ἐστιν Υἱοὶ Βροντῆς·
18then Andrew and Philip and Bartholomew and Matthew and Thomas and James the son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus and Simon, a member of the Zealot party, καὶ Ἀνδρέαν καὶ Φίλιππον καὶ Βαρθολομαῖον καὶ Μαθθαῖον καὶ Θωμᾶν καὶ Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ἀλφαίου καὶ Θαδδαῖον καὶ Σίμωνα τὸν Καναναῖον
19and Judas Iscariot, the man who betrayed him.
 καὶ Ἰούδαν Ἰσκαριώθ, ὃς καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτόν.
