| 30 | Simon's mother-in-law was ill in bed with fever. | | ἡ δὲ πενθερὰ Σίμωνος κατέκειτο πυρέσσουσα, καὶ εὐθὺς λέγουσιν αὐτῷ περὶ αὐτῆς. |

| 31 | They told him about her at once. He came forward, took her by the hand, and helped her to her feet. The fever left her and she waited upon them.
| | καὶ προσελθὼν ἠγειρεν αὐτὴν κρατήσας τῆς χειρός· καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτὴν ὁ πυρετός, καὶ διηκόνει αὐτοῖς. |

| 32 | That evening after sunset they brought to him all who were ill or possessed by devils; | | Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης, ὅτε ἐδυ ὁ ἡλιος, ἐφερον πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἐχοντας καὶ τοὺς δαιμονιζομένους· |

| 33 | and the whole town was there, gathered at the door. | | καὶ ἦν ὁλη ἡ πόλις ἐπισυνηγμένη πρὸς τὴν θύραν. |

| 34 | He healed many who suffered from various diseases, and drove out many devils. He would not let the devils speak, because they knew who he was.
| | καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν πολλοὺς κακῶς ἐχοντας ποικίλαις νόσοις, καὶ δαιμόνια πολλὰ ἐξέβαλεν, καὶ οὐκ ἠφιεν λαλεῖν τὰ δαιμόνια, ὅτι ᾐδεισαν αὐτόν. |
