| 20 | When it was evening, he sat at table with the twelve disciples; | | Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης ἀνέκειτο μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα. |

| 21 | and as they were eating, he said, "Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me." | | καὶ ἐσθιόντων αὐτῶν εἶπεν, Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με. |

| 22 | And they were very sorrowful, and began to say to him one after another, "Is it I, Lord?" | | καὶ λυπούμενοι σφόδρα ἠρξαντο λέγειν αὐτῷ εἷς ἑκαστος, Μήτι ἐγώ εἰμι, κύριὲ; |

| 23 | He answered, "He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me, will betray me. | | Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν, ὁ ἐμβάψας μετ' ἐμοῦ τὴν χεῖρα ἐν τῷ τρυβλίῳ οὗτός με παραδώσει. |

| 24 | The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born." | | ὁ μὲν υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὑπάγει καθὼς γέγραπται περὶ αὐτοῦ, οὐαὶ δὲ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δῖ οὗ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδίδοται· καλὸν ἦν αὐτῷ εἰ οὐκ ἐγεννήθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος. |

| 25 | Judas, who betrayed him, said, "Is it I, Master?" He said to him, "You have said so." | | ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ Ἰούδας ὁ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν εἶπεν, Μήτι ἐγώ εἰμι, Ῥαββί; λέγει αὐτῷ, Σὺ εἶπας. |
