17JESUS WAS JOURNEYING towards Jerusalem, and on the way he took the Twelve aside, and said to them,A Third Time Jesus foretells His Death and Resurrection Mt.20.17-19 (Borders of Samaria) | Mk.10.32-34 | Lk.18.31-34Καὶ ἀναβαίνων ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα παρέλαβεν τοὺς δώδεκα μαθητὰς κατ' ἰδίαν, καὶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς,
18'We are now going to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be given up to the chief priests and the doctors of the law; they will condemn him to death Ἰδοὺ ἀναβαίνομεν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα, καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδοθήσεται τοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσιν καὶ γραμματεῦσιν, καὶ κατακρινοῦσιν αὐτὸν θανάτῳ,
19and hand him over to the foreign power, to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life again.'
 καὶ παραδώσουσιν αὐτὸν τοῖς ἐθνεσιν εἰς τὸ ἐμπαῖξαι καὶ μαστιγῶσαι καὶ σταυρῶσαι, καὶ τῇ τρίτῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἐγερθήσεται.
