| 24 | Another parable he put before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field; | The Parable of the Weeds among the Wheat Mt.13.24-30 (Plain of Gennesaret) | Ἄλλην παραβολὴν παρέθηκεν αὐτοῖς λέγων, Ὡμοιώθη ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν ἀνθρώπῳ σπείραντι καλὸν σπέρμα ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ αὐτοῦ. |

| 25 | but while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. | | ἐν δὲ τῷ καθεύδειν τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ἦλθεν αὐτοῦ ὁ ἐχθρὸς καὶ ἐπέσπειρεν ζιζάνια ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ σίτου καὶ ἀπῆλθεν. |

| 26 | So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. | | ὅτε δὲ ἐβλάστησεν ὁ χόρτος καὶ καρπὸν ἐποίησεν, τότε ἐφάνη καὶ τὰ ζιζάνια. |

| 27 | And the servants of the householder came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then has it weeds?' | | προσελθόντες δὲ οἱ δοῦλοι τοῦ οἰκοδεσπότου εἶπον αὐτῷ, Κύριε, οὐχὶ καλὸν σπέρμα ἐσπειρας ἐν τῷ σῷ ἀγρῷ; πόθεν οὖν ἐχει ζιζάνιὰ; |

| 28 | He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?' | | ὁ δὲ ἐφη αὐτοῖς, Ἐχθρὸς ἄνθρωπος τοῦτο ἐποίησεν. οἱ δὲ δοῦλοι λέγουσιν αὐτῷ, Θέλεις οὖν ἀπελθόντες συλλέξωμεν αὐτά; |

| 29 | But he said, 'No; lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. | | ὁ δέ φησιν, Οὄ, μήποτε συλλέγοντες τὰ ζιζάνια ἐκριζώσητε ἀμα αὐτοῖς τὸν σῖτον. |
|
| 30 | Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.' " | | ἀφετε συναυξάνεσθαι ἀμφότερα ἑως τοῦ θερισμοῦ· καὶ ἐν καιρῷ τοῦ θερισμοῦ ἐρῶ τοῖς θερισταῖς, Συλλέξατε πρῶτον τὰ ζιζάνια καὶ δήσατε αὐτὰ εἰς δέσμας πρὸς τὸ κατακαῦσαι αὐτά, τὸν δὲ σῖτον συναγάγετε εἰς τὴν ἀποθήκην μου. |
