| 26 | 'So do not be afraid of them. | 27 | What I say to you in the dark you must repeat in broad daylight; what you hear whispered you must shout from the house-tops. | | ὃ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ, εἰπατε ἐν τῷ φωτί· καὶ ὃ εἰς τὸ οὖς ἀκούετε, κηρύξατε ἐπὶ τῶν δωμάτων. |

| 28 | Do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul. Fear him rather who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
| | καὶ μὴ φοβεῖσθε ἀπὸ τῶν ἀποκτεννόντων τὸ σῶμα, τὴν δὲ ψυχὴν μὴ δυναμένων ἀποκτεῖναι· φοβεῖσθε δὲ μᾶλλον τὸν δυνάμενον καὶ ψυχὴν καὶ σῶμα ἀπολέσαι ἐν γεέννῃ. |

| 29 | 'Are not sparrows two a penny? Yet without your Father's leave not one of them can fall to the ground. | | οὐχὶ δύο στρουθία ἀσσαρίου πωλεῖταὶ καὶ ἓν ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐ πεσεῖται ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἀνευ τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν. |

| 30 | As for you, even the hairs of your head have all been counted. | | ὑμῶν δὲ καὶ αἱ τρίχες τῆς κεφαλῆς πᾶσαι ἠριθμημέναι εἰσίν. |
|
| 31 | So have no fear; you are worth more than any number of sparrows.
| | μὴ οὖν φοβεῖσθε· πολλῶν στρουθίων διαφέρετε ὑμεῖς. |
