| 17 | In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the word of Yahweh came to me: | Nebuchadnezzar will conquer Egypt. Eze.29.17-21 | וַיְהִי בְּעֶשְׂרִים וָשֶׁבַע שָׁנָה בָּרִאשֹׁון בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הָיָה דְבַר־יְהוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר׃ |

| 18 | "Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made his army labour hard against Tyre; every head was made bald and every shoulder was rubbed bare; yet neither he nor his army got anything from Tyre to pay for the labour that he had performed against it. | | בֶּן־אָדָם נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל הֶעֱבִיד אֶת־חֵילֹו עֲבֹדָה גְדֹלָה אֶל־צֹר כָּל־רֹאשׁ מֻקְרָח וְכָל־כָּתֵף מְרוּטָה וְשָׂכָר לֹא־הָיָה לֹו וּלְחֵילֹו מִצֹּר עַל־הָעֲבֹדָה אֲשֶׁר־עָבַד עָלֶיהָ׃ ס |

| 19 | Therefore thus says Yahweh GOD: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off its wealth and despoil it and plunder it; and it shall be the wages for his army. | | לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי נֹתֵן לִנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל אֶת־אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וְנָשָׂא הֲמֹנָהּ וְשָׁלַל שְׁלָלָהּ וּבָזַז בִּזָּהּ וְהָיְתָה שָׂכָר לְחֵילֹו׃ |

| 20 | I have given him the land of Egypt as his recompense for which he laboured, because they worked for me, says Yahweh GOD. | | פְּעֻלָּתֹו אֲשֶׁר־עָבַד בָּהּ נָתַתִּי לֹו אֶת־אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ לִי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃ ס |

| 21 | "On that day I will cause a horn to spring forth to the house of Israel, and I will open your lips among them. Then they will know that I am Yahweh." | | בַּיֹּום הַהוּא אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל וּלְךָ אֶתֵּן פִּתְחֹון־פֶּה בְּתֹוכָם וְיָדְעוּ כִּי־אֲנִי יְהוָה׃ ף |
