| 17 | Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me: | The sign of the trembling prophet. Eze.12.17-20 | וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר׃ |

| 18 | "Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink water with trembling and with fearfulness; | | בֶּן־אָדָם לַחְמְךָ בְּרַעַשׁ תֹּאכֵל וּמֵימֶיךָ בְּרָגְזָה וּבִדְאָגָה תִּשְׁתֶּה׃ |

| 19 | and say of the people of the land, Thus says the Lord Yahweh concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink water in dismay, because their land will be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who dwell in it. | | וְאָמַרְתָּ אֶל־עַם הָאָרֶץ כֹּה־אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה לְיֹושְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֶל־אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל לַחְםָם בִּדְאָגָה יֹאכֵלוּ וּמֵימֵיהֶם בְּשִׁמָּמֹון יִשְׁתּוּ לְמַעַן תֵּשַׁם אַרְצָהּ מִמְּלֹאָהּ מֵחֲמַס כָּל־הַיֹּשְׁבִים בָּהּ׃ |

| 20 | And the inhabited cities shall be laid waste, and the land shall become a desolation; and you shall know that I am Yahweh." | | וְהֶעָרִים הַנֹּושָׁבֹות תֶּחֱרַבְנָה וְהָאָרֶץ שְׁמָמָה תִהְיֶה וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי־אֲנִי יְהוָה׃ ף |
