11	"Though you rejoice, though you exult, O plunderers of my heritage, though you are wanton as a heifer at grass, and neigh like stallions,	The fall of Babylon. Jr.50.11-16	כִּי כ= תִשְׂמְחִי ק= תִשְׂמְחוּ כִּי כ= תַעֲלְזִי ק= תַעַלְזוּ שֹׁסֵי נַחֲלָתִי כִּי כ= תָפוּשִׁי ק= תָפוּשׁוּ כְּעֶגְלָה דָשָׁה כ= וְתִצְהֲלִי ק= וְתִצְהֲלוּ כָּאֲבִּרִים׃
12	your mother shall be utterly shamed, and she who bore you shall be disgraced. Lo, she shall be the last of the nations, a wilderness dry and desert.		בֹּושָׁה אִםְּכֶם מְאֹד חָפְרָה יֹולַדְתְּכֶם הִנֵּה אַחֲרִית גֹּויִם מִדְבָּר צִיָּה וַעֲרָבָה׃
13	Because of the wrath of Yahweh she shall not be inhabited, but shall be an utter desolation; every one who passes by Babylon shall be appalled, and hiss because of all her wounds.		מִקֶּצֶף יְהוָה לֹא תֵשֵׁב וְהָיְתָה שְׁמָמָה כֻּלָּהּ כֹּל עֹבֵר עַל־בָּבֶל יִשֹּׁם וְיִשְׁרֹק עַל־כָּל־מַכֹּותֶיהָ׃
14	Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about, all you that bend the bow; shoot at her, spare no arrows, for she has sinned against Yahweh.		עִרְכוּ עַל־בָּבֶל סָבִיב כָּל־דֹּרְכֵי קֶשֶׁת יְדוּ אֵלֶיהָ אַל־תַּחְמְלוּ אֶל־חֵץ כִּי לַיהוָה חָטָאָה׃
15	Raise a shout against her round about, she has surrendered; her bulwarks have fallen, her walls are thrown down. For this is the vengeance of Yahweh: take vengeance on her, do to her as she has done.		הָרִיעוּ עָלֶיהָ סָבִיב נָתְנָה יָדָהּ נָפְלוּ כ= אַשְׁוִיֹּתֶיהָ ק= אָשְׁיֹותֶיהָ נֶהֶרְסוּ חֹומֹותֶיהָ כִּי נִקְמַת יְהוָה הִיא הִנָּקְמוּ בָהּ כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשְׂתָה עֲשׂוּ־לָהּ׃
16	Cut off from Babylon the sower, and the one who handles the sickle in time of harvest; because of the sword of the oppressor, every one shall turn to his own people, and every one shall flee to his own land.		כִּרְתוּ זֹורֵעַ מִבָּבֶל וְתֹפֵשׂ מַגָּל בְּעֵת קָצִיר מִפְּנֵי חֶרֶב הַיֹּונָה אִישׁ אֶל־עַמֹּו יִפְנוּ וְאִישׁ לְאַרְצֹו יָנֻסוּ׃ ס

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.
The katapi New Study Bible reference section displays links to parallel passages, and to direct quotations by New Testament authors to Old Testament passages. Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
