| 13 | "Therefore thus says Yahweh: Ask among the nations, who has heard the like of this? The virgin Israel has done a very horrible thing. | The people reject the LORD. Jr.18.13-17 | לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה שַׁאֲלוּ־נָא בַּגֹּויִם מִי שָׁמַע כָּאֵלֶּה שַׁעֲרֻרִת עָשְׂתָה מְאֹד בְּתוּלַת יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| 14 | Does the snow of Lebanon leave the crags of Sirion? Do the mountain waters run dry, the cold flowing streams? | הֲיַעֲזֹב מִצּוּר שָׂדַי שֶׁלֶג לְבָנֹון אִם־יִנָּתְשׁוּ מַיִם זָרִים קָרִים נֹוזְלִים׃ | |
| 15 | But my people have forgotten me, they burn incense to false gods; they have stumbled in their ways, in the ancient roads, and have gone into bypaths, not the highway, | כִּי־שְׁכֵחֻנִי עַמִּי לַשָּׁוְא יְקַטֵּרוּ וַיַּכְשִׁלוּם בְּדַרְכֵיהֶם שְׁבִילֵי עֹולָם לָלֶכֶת נְתִיבֹות דֶּרֶךְ לֹא סְלוּלָה׃ | |
| 16 | making their land a horror, a thing to be hissed at for ever. Every one who passes by it is horrified and shakes his head. | לָשׂוּם אַרְצָם לְשַׁמָּה כ= שְׁרוּקַת ק= שְׁרִיקֹות עֹולָם כֹּל עֹובֵר עָלֶיהָ יִשֹּׁם וְיָנִיד בְּרֹאשֹׁו׃ | |
| 17 | Like the east wind I will scatter them before the enemy. I will show them my back, not my face, in the day of their calamity." | כְּרוּחַ־קָדִים אֲפִיצֵם לִפְנֵי אֹויֵב עֹרֶף וְלֹא־פָנִים אֶרְאֵם בְּיֹום אֵידָם׃ ס | |
