| 40 1 | Yahweh said to Moses, | Dedication of the Tabernacle. Ex.40.1-33 | וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃ |
|
| 2 | "On the first day of the first month you shall erect the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. | | בְּיֹום־הַחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשֹׁון בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ תָּקִים אֶת־מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל מֹועֵד׃ |
|
| 3 | And you shall put in it the ark of the testimony, and you shall screen the ark with the veil. | | וְשַׂמְתָּ שָׁם אֵת אֲרֹון הָעֵדוּת וְסַכֹּתָ עַל־הָאָרֹן אֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶת׃ |
|
| 4 | And you shall bring in the table, and set its arrangements in order; and you shall bring in the lampstand, and set up its lamps. | | וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן וְעָרַכְתָּ אֶת־עֶרְכֹּו וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה וְהַעֲלֵיתָ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ׃ |

| 5 | And you shall put the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and set up the screen for the door of the tabernacle. | | וְנָתַתָּה אֶת־מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב לִקְטֹרֶת לִפְנֵי אֲרֹון הָעֵדֻת וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת־מָסַךְ הַפֶּתַח לַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ |
|
| 6 | You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, | | וְנָתַתָּה אֵת מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה לִפְנֵי פֶּתַח מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל־מֹועֵד׃ |
|
| 7 | and place the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. | | וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר בֵּין־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וּבֵין הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְנָתַתָּ שָׁם מָיִם׃ |

| 8 | And you shall set up the court round about, and hang up the screen for the gate of the court. | | וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת־הֶחָצֵר סָבִיב וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־מָסַךְ שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר׃ |
|
| 9 | Then you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and consecrate it and all its furniture; and it shall become holy. | | וְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת־שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בֹּו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתֹו וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו וְהָיָה קֹדֶשׁ׃ |
|
| 10 | You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar; and the altar shall be most holy. | | וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְהָיָה הַמִּזְבֵּחַ קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים׃ |
|
| 11 | You shall also anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it. | | וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר וְאֶת־כַּנֹּו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתֹו׃ |
|
| 12 | Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting, and shall wash them with water, | | וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת־אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת־בָּנָיו אֶל־פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְרָחַצְתָּ אֹתָם בַּמָּיִם׃ |
|
| 13 | and put upon Aaron the holy garments, and you shall anoint him and consecrate him, that he may serve me as priest. | | וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֶת־אַהֲרֹן אֵת בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתֹו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתֹו וְכִהֵן לִי׃ |
|
| 14 | You shall bring his sons also and put coats on them, | | וְאֶת־בָּנָיו תַּקְרִיב וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם כֻּתֳּנֹת׃ |
|
| 15 | and anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may serve me as priests: and their anointing shall admit them to a perpetual priesthood throughout their generations." | | וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתָם כַּאֲשֶׁר מָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־אֲבִיהֶם וְכִהֲנוּ לִי וְהָיְתָה לִהְיֹת לָהֶם מָשְׁחָתָם לִכְהֻנַּת עֹולָם לְדֹרֹתָם׃ |
|
| 16 | Thus did Moses; according to all that Yahweh commanded him, so he did. | | וַיַּעַשׂ מֹשֶׁה כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֹתֹו כֵּן עָשָׂה׃ ס |
|
| 17 | And in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected. | | וַיְהִי בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשֹׁון בַּשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הוּקַם הַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ |

| 18 | Moses erected the tabernacle; he laid its bases, and set up its frames, and put in its poles, and raised up its pillars; | | וַיָּקֶם מֹשֶׁה אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־אֲדָנָיו וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־קְרָשָׁיו וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־בְּרִיחָיו וַיָּקֶם אֶת־עַמּוּדָיו׃ |
|
| 19 | and he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent over it, as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וַיִּפְרֹשׂ אֶת־הָאֹהֶל עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־מִכְסֵה הָאֹהֶל עָלָיו מִלְמָעְלָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ס |

| 20 | And he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and put the poles on the ark, and set the mercy seat above on the ark; | | וַיִּקַּח וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הָעֵדֻת אֶל־הָאָרֹן וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עַל־הָאָרֹן וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶת עַל־הָאָרֹן מִלְמָעְלָה׃ |

| 21 | and he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וַיָּבֵא אֶת־הָאָרֹן אֶל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וַיָּשֶׂם אֵת פָּרֹכֶת הַמָּסָךְ וַיָּסֶךְ עַל אֲרֹון הָעֵדוּת כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ס |
|
| 22 | And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil, | | וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד עַל יֶרֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּן צָפֹנָה מִחוּץ לַפָּרֹכֶת׃ |

| 23 | and set the bread in order on it before Yahweh; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וַיַּעֲרֹךְ עָלָיו עֵרֶךְ לֶחֶם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ס |
|
| 24 | And he put the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle, | | וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד נֹכַח הַשֻּׁלְחָן עַל יֶרֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּן נֶגְבָּה׃ |
|
| 25 | and set up the lamps before Yahweh; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וַיַּעַל הַנֵּרֹת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ס |
|
| 26 | And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil, | | וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב בְּאֹהֶל מֹועֵד לִפְנֵי הַפָּרֹכֶת׃ |
|
| 27 | and burnt fragrant incense upon it; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וַיַּקְטֵר עָלָיו קְטֹרֶת סַמִּים כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ף |
|
| 28 | And he put in place the screen for the door of the tabernacle. | | וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־מָסַךְ הַפֶּתַח לַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ |
|
| 29 | And he set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the cereal offering; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וְאֵת מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה שָׂם פֶּתַח מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל־מֹועֵד וַיַּעַל עָלָיו אֶת־הָעֹלָה וְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ס |
|
| 30 | And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing, | | וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר בֵּין־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וּבֵין הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וַיִּתֵּן שָׁמָּה מַיִם לְרָחְצָה׃ |
|
| 31 | with which Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet; | | וְרָחֲצוּ מִמֶּנּוּ מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו אֶת־יְדֵיהֶם וְאֶת־רַגְלֵיהֶם׃ |
|
| 32 | when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed; as Yahweh commanded Moses. | | בְּבֹאָם אֶל־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וּבְקָרְבָתָם אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ יִרְחָצוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ס |
|
| 33 | And he erected the court round the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work. | | וַיָּקֶם אֶת־הֶחָצֵר סָבִיב לַמִּשְׁכָּן וְלַמִּזְבֵּחַ וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־מָסַךְ שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר וַיְכַל מֹשֶׁה אֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה׃ ף |
