| 39 1 | And of the blue and purple and scarlet stuff they made finely wrought garments, for ministering in the holy place; they made the holy garments for Aaron; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | Making the priestly garments. Ex.39.1-7 | Ex.28.1-14 | וּמִן־הַתְּכֵלֶת וְהָאַרְגָּמָן וְתֹולַעַת הַשָּׁנִי עָשׂוּ בִגְדֵי־שְׂרָד לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר לְאַהֲרֹן כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ף |

| 2 | And he made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet stuff, and fine twined linen. | | וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הָאֵפֹד זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתֹולַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר׃ |

| 3 | And gold leaf was hammered out and cut into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet stuff, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design. | | וַיְרַקְּעוּ אֶת־פַּחֵי הַזָּהָב וְקִץֵּץ פְּתִילִם לַעֲשֹׂות בְּתֹוךְ הַתְּכֵלֶת וּבְתֹוךְ הָאַרְגָּמָן וּבְתֹוךְ תֹּולַעַת הַשָּׁנִי וּבְתֹוךְ הַשֵּׁשׁ מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב׃ |

| 4 | They made for the ephod shoulder-pieces, joined to it at its two edges. | | כְּתֵפֹת עָשׂוּ־לֹו חֹבְרֹת עַל־שְׁנֵי כ= קִצְוֹותֹו ק= קְצֹותָיו חֻבָּר׃ |

| 5 | And the skilfully woven band upon it, to gird it on, was of the same materials and workmanship, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet stuff, and fine twined linen; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וְחֵשֶׁב אֲפֻדָּתֹו אֲשֶׁר עָלָיו מִמֶּנּוּ הוּא כְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתֹולַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ |

| 6 | The onyx stones were prepared, enclosed in settings of gold filigree and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. | | וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־אַבְנֵי הַשֹּׁהַם מֻסַבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב מְפֻתָּחֹת פִּתּוּחֵי חֹותָם עַל־שְׁמֹות בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |

| 7 | And he set them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel; as Yahweh had commanded Moses. | | וַיָּשֶׂם אֹתָם עַל כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד אַבְנֵי זִכָּרֹון לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃ ף |
