| 149 1 | Praise Yahweh! Sing to Yahweh a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful! | Sing to the Lord a New Song. Psalm 149 | הַלְלוּ יָהּ שִׁירוּ לַיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתֹו בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִים׃ |
| 2 | Let Israel be glad in his Maker, let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King! | יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיֹּון יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם׃ | |
| 3 | Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with timbrel and lyre! | יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמֹו בְמָחֹול בְּתֹף וְכִנֹּור יְזַמְּרוּ־לֹו׃ | |
| 4 | For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with victory. | כִּי־רֹוצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמֹּו יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה׃ | |
| 5 | Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their couches. | יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבֹוד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבֹותָם׃ | |
| 6 | Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands, | רֹומְמֹות אֵל בִּגְרֹונָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיֹּות בְּיָדָם׃ | |
| 7 | to wreak vengeance on the nations and chastisement on the peoples, | לַעֲשֹׂות נְקָמָה בַּגֹּויִם תֹּוכֵחֹת בַּל־אֻמִּים׃ | |
| 8 | to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, | לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל׃ | |
| 9 | to execute on them the judgement written! This is the glory for all his faithful ones. Praise Yahweh! | לַעֲשֹׂות בָּהֶם מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃ | |
