148 1	Praise Yahweh! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights!	Let All Creation Praise the Lord. Psalm 148	הַלְלוּ יָהּ הַלְלוּ אֶת־יְהוָה מִן־הַשָּׁמַיִם הַלְלוּהוּ בַּמְּרֹומִים׃
2	Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!		הַלְלוּהוּ כָל־מַלְאָכָיו הַלְלוּהוּ כָּל־כ= צְבָאֹו ק= צְבָאָיו׃
3	Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!		הַלְלוּהוּ שֶׁמֶשׁ וְיָרֵחַ הַלְלוּהוּ כָּל־כֹּוכְבֵי אֹור׃
4	Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!		הַלְלוּהוּ שְׁמֵי הַשָּׁמָיִם וְהַמַּיִם אֲשֶׁר מֵעַל הַשָּׁמָיִם׃
5	Let them praise the name of Yahweh! For he commanded and they were created.		יְהַלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְהוָה כִּי הוּא צִוָּה וְנִבְרָאוּ׃
6	And he established them for ever and ever; he fixed their bounds which cannot be passed.		וַיַּעֲמִידֵם לָעַד לְעֹולָם חָק־נָתַן וְלֹא יַעֲבֹור׃
7	Praise Yahweh from the earth, you sea monsters and all deeps,		הַלְלוּ אֶת־יְהוָה מִן־הָאָרֶץ תַּנִּינִים וְכָל־תְּהֹמֹות׃
8	fire and hail, snow and frost, stormy wind fulfilling his command!		אֵשׁ וּבָרָד שֶׁלֶג וְקִיטֹור רוּחַ סְעָרָה עֹשָׂה דְבָרֹו׃
9	Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!		הֶהָרִים וְכָל־גְּבָעֹות עֵץ פְּרִי וְכָל־אֲרָזִים׃
10	Beasts and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds!		הַחַיָּה וְכָל־בְּהֵמָה רֶמֶשׂ וְצִפֹּור כָּנָף׃
11	Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!		מַלְכֵי־אֶרֶץ וְכָל־לְאֻמִּים שָׂרִים וְכָל־שֹׁפְטֵי אָרֶץ׃
12	Young men and maidens together, old men and children!		בַּחוּרִים וְגַם־בְּתוּלֹות זְקֵנִים עִם־נְעָרִים׃
13	Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is exalted; his glory is above earth and heaven.		יְהַלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְהוָה כִּי־נִשְׂגָּב שְׁמֹו לְבַדֹּו הֹודֹו עַל־אֶרֶץ וְשָׁמָיִם׃
14	He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints, for the people of Israel who are near to him. Praise Yahweh!		וַיָּרֶם קֶרֶן לְעַמֹּו תְּהִלָּה לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַם־קְרֹבֹו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.
The katapi New Study Bible reference section displays links to parallel passages, and to direct quotations by New Testament authors to Old Testament passages. Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
