| 142 1 | I cry with my voice to Yahweh, with my voice I make supplication to Yahweh, | קֹולִי אֶל־יְהוָה אֶזְעָק קֹולִי אֶל־יְהוָה אֶתְחַןָּן׃ | |
| 2 | I pour out my complaint before him, I tell my trouble before him. | אֶשְׁפֹּךְ לְפָנָיו שִׂיחִי צָרָתִי לְפָנָיו אַגִּיד׃ | |
| 3 | When my spirit is faint, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me. | בְּהִתְעַטֵּף עָלַי רוּחִי וְאַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ נְתִיבָתִי בְּאֹרַח־זוּ אֲהַלֵּךְ טָמְנוּ פַח לִי׃ | |
| 4 | I look to the right and watch, but there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me, no man cares for me. | הַבֵּיט יָמִין וּרְאֵה וְאֵין־לִי מַכִּיר אָבַד מָנֹוס מִמֶּנִּי אֵין דֹּורֵשׁ לְנַפְשִׁי׃ | |
| 5 | I cry to you, O Yahweh; I say, You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living. | זָעַקְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ יְהוָה אָמַרְתִּי אַתָּה מַחְסִי חֶלְקִי בְּאֶרֶץ הַחַיִּים׃ | |
| 6 | Give heed to my cry; for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors; | הַקְשִׁיבָה אֶל־רִנָּתִי כִּי־דַלֹּותִי מְאֹד הַצִּילֵנִי מֵרֹדְפַי כִּי אָמְצוּ מִמֶּנִּי׃ | |
