| 129 1 | "Sorely have they afflicted me from my youth," let Israel now say - | Prayer against Israel's Enemies. Psalm 129(v128) | רַבַּת צְרָרוּנִי מִנְּעוּרַי יֹאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| 2 | "Sorely have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me. | רַבַּת צְרָרוּנִי מִנְּעוּרָי גַּם לֹא־יָכְלוּ לִי׃ | |
| 3 | The plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows." | עַל־גַּבִּי חָרְשׁוּ חֹרְשִׁים הֶאֱרִיכוּ כ= לְמַעֲנֹותָם ק= לְמַעֲנִיתָם׃ | |
| 4 | Yahweh is righteous; he has cut the cords of the wicked. | יְהוָה צַדִּיק קִץֵּץ עֲבֹות רְשָׁעִים׃ | |
| 5 | May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward! | יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִסֹּגוּ אָחֹור כֹּל שֹׂנְאֵי צִיֹּון׃ | |
| 6 | Let them be like the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up, | יִהְיוּ כַּחֲצִיר גַּגֹּות שֶׁקַּדְמַת שָׁלַף יָבֵשׁ׃ | |
| 7 | with which the reaper does not fill his hand or the binder of sheaves his bosom, | שֶׁלֹּא מִלֵּא כַפֹּו קֹוצֵר וְחִצְנֹו מְעַמֵּר׃ | |
| 8 | while those who pass by do not say, "The blessing of Yahweh be upon you! We bless you in the name of Yahweh!" | וְלֹא אָמְרוּ הָעֹבְרִים בִּרְכַּת־יְהוָה אֲלֵיכֶם בֵּרַכְנוּ אֶתְכֶם בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה׃ | |
