| 105 1 | O give thanks to Yahweh, call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples! | God & His People. Psalm 105(v104) | הֹודוּ לַיהוָה קִרְאוּ בִּשְׁמֹו הֹודִיעוּ בָעַמִּים עֲלִילֹותָיו׃ |
| 2 | Sing to him, sing praises to him, tell of all his wonderful works! | שִׁירוּ־לֹו זַמְּרוּ־לֹו שִׂיחוּ בְּכָל־נִפְלְאֹותָיו׃ | |
| 3 | Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice! | הִתְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁם קָדְשֹׁו יִשְׂמַח לֵב מְבַקְשֵׁי יְהוָה׃ | |
| 4 | Seek Yahweh and his strength, seek his presence continually! | דִּרְשׁוּ יְהוָה וְעֻזֹּו בַּקְּשׁוּ פָנָיו תָּמִיד׃ | |
| 5 | Remember the wonderful works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered, | זִכְרוּ נִפְלְאֹותָיו אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה מֹפְתָיו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִיו׃ | |
| 6 | O offspring of Abraham his servant, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones! | זֶרַע אַבְרָהָם עַבְדֹּו בְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב בְּחִירָיו׃ | |
| 7 | He is Yahweh our God; his judgments are in all the earth. | הוּא יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ בְּכָל־הָאָרֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָיו׃ | |
| 8 | He is mindful of his covenant for ever, of the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, | זָכַר לְעֹולָם בְּרִיתֹו דָּבָר צִוָּה לְאֶלֶף דֹּור׃ | |
| 9 | the covenant which he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, | אֲשֶׁר כָּרַת אֶת־אַבְרָהָם וּשְׁבוּעָתֹו לְיִשְׂחָק׃ | |
| 10 | which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, | וַיַּעֲמִידֶהָ לְיַעֲקֹב לְחֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרִית עֹולָם׃ | |
| 11 | saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance." | לֵאמֹר לְךָ אֶתֵּן אֶת־אֶרֶץ־כְּנָעַן חֶבֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶם׃ | |
| 12 | When they were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it, | בִּהְיֹותָם מְתֵי מִסְפָּר כִּמְעַט וְגָרִים בָּהּ׃ | |
| 13 | wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, | וַיִּתְהַלְּכוּ מִגֹּוי אֶל־גֹּוי מִמַּמְלָכָה אֶל־עַם אַחֵר׃ | |
| 14 | he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, | לֹא־הִנִּיחַ אָדָם לְעָשְׁקָם וַיֹּוכַח עֲלֵיהֶם מְלָכִים׃ | |
| 15 | saying, "Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!" | אַל־תִּגְּעוּ בִמְשִׁיחָי וְלִנְבִיאַי אַל־תָּרֵעוּ׃ | |
| 16 | When he summoned a famine on the land, and broke every staff of bread, | וַיִּקְרָא רָעָב עַל־הָאָרֶץ כָּל־מַטֵּה־לֶחֶם שָׁבָר׃ | |
| 17 | he had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. | שָׁלַח לִפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ לְעֶבֶד נִמְכַּר יֹוסֵף׃ | |
| 18 | His feet were hurt with fetters, his neck was put in a collar of iron; | עִנּוּ בַכֶּבֶל כ= רַגְלָיו ק= רַגְלֹו בַּרְזֶל בָּאָה נַפְשֹׁו׃ | |
| 19 | until what he had said came to pass the word of Yahweh tested him. | עַד־עֵת בֹּא־דְבָרֹו אִמְרַת יְהוָה צְרָפָתְהוּ׃ | |
| 20 | The king sent and released him, the ruler of the peoples set him free; | שָׁלַח מֶלֶךְ וַיַתִּירֵהוּ מֹשֵׁל עַמִּים וַיְפַתְּחֵהוּ׃ | |
| 21 | he made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions, | שָׂמֹו אָדֹון לְבֵיתֹו וּמֹשֵׁל בְּכָל־קִנְיָנֹו׃ | |
| 22 | to instruct his princes at his pleasure, and to teach his elders wisdom. | לֶאְסֹר שָׂרָיו בְּנַפְשֹׁו וּזְקֵנָיו יְחַכֵּם׃ | |
| 23 | Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. | וַיָּבֹא יִשְׂרָאֵל מִצְרָיִם וְיַעֲקֹב גָּר בְּאֶרֶץ־חָם׃ | |
| 24 | And Yahweh made his people very fruitful, and made them stronger than their foes. | וַיֶּפֶר אֶת־עַמֹּו מְאֹד וַיַּעֲצִמֵהוּ מִצָּרָיו׃ | |
| 25 | He turned their hearts to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants. | הָפַךְ לִבָּם לִשְׂנֹא עַמֹּו לְהִתְנַכֵּל בַּעֲבָדָיו׃ | |
| 26 | He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron whom he had chosen. | שָׁלַח מֹשֶׁה עַבְדֹּו אַהֲרֹן אֲשֶׁר בָּחַר־בֹּו׃ | |
| 27 | They wrought his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham. | שָׂמוּ־בָם דִּבְרֵי אֹתֹותָיו וּמֹפְתִים בְּאֶרֶץ חָם׃ | |
| 28 | He sent darkness, and made the land dark; they rebelled against his words. | שָׁלַח חֹשֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁךְ וְלֹא־מָרוּ אֶת־כ= דְּבָרָוו ק= דְּבָרֹו׃ | |
| 29 | He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die. | הָפַךְ אֶת־מֵימֵיהֶם לְדָם וַיָּמֶת אֶת־דְּגָתָם׃ | |
| 30 | Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings. | שָׁרַץ אַרְצָם צְפַרְדְּעִים בְּחַדְרֵי מַלְכֵיהֶם׃ | |
| 31 | He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country. | אָמַר וַיָּבֹא עָרֹב כִּנִּים בְּכָל־גְּבוּלָם׃ | |
| 32 | He gave them hail for rain, and lightning that flashed through their land. | נָתַן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶם בָּרָד אֵשׁ לֶהָבֹות בְּאַרְצָם׃ | |
| 33 | He smote their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country. | וַיַּךְ גַּפְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָם וַיְשַׁבֵּר עֵץ גְּבוּלָם׃ | |
| 34 | He spoke, and the locusts came, and young locusts without number; | אָמַר וַיָּבֹא אַרְבֶּה וְיֶלֶק וְאֵין מִסְפָּר׃ | |
| 35 | which devoured all the vegetation in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground. | וַיֹּאכַל כָּל־עֵשֶׂב בְּאַרְצָם וַיֹּאכַל פְּרִי אַדְמָתָם׃ | |
| 36 | He smote all the first-born in their land, the first issue of all their strength. | וַיַּךְ כָּל־בְּכֹור בְּאַרְצָם רֵאשִׁית לְכָל־אֹונָם׃ | |
| 37 | Then he led forth Israel with silver and gold, and there was none among his tribes who stumbled. | וַיֹּוצִיאֵם בְּכֶסֶף וְזָהָב וְאֵין בִּשְׁבָטָיו כֹּושֵׁל׃ | |
| 38 | Egypt was glad when they departed, for dread of them had fallen upon it. | שָׂמַח מִצְרַיִם בְּצֵאתָם כִּי־נָפַל פַּחְדָּם עֲלֵיהֶם׃ | |
| 39 | He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night. | פָּרַשׂ עָןָן לְמָסָךְ וְאֵשׁ לְהָאִיר לָיְלָה׃ | |
| 40 | They asked, and he brought quails, and gave them bread from heaven in abundance. | שָׁאַל וַיָּבֵא שְׂלָו וְלֶחֶם שָׁמַיִם יַשְׂבִּיעֵם׃ | |
| 41 | He opened the rock, and water gushed forth; it flowed through the desert like a river. | פָּתַח צוּר וַיָּזוּבוּ מָיִם הָלְכוּ בַּצִּיֹּות נָהָר׃ | |
| 42 | For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. | כִּי־זָכַר אֶת־דְּבַר קָדְשֹׁו אֶת־אַבְרָהָם עַבְדֹּו׃ | |
| 43 | So he led forth his people with joy, his chosen ones with singing. | וַיֹּוצִא עַמֹּו בְשָׂשֹׂון בְּרִנָּה אֶת־בְּחִירָיו׃ | |
| 44 | And he gave them the lands of the nations; and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples' toil, | וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם אַרְצֹות גֹּויִם וַעֲמַל לְאֻמִּים יִירָשׁוּ׃ | |
| 45 | to the end that they should keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise Yahweh! | בַּעֲבוּר יִשְׁמְרוּ חֻקָּיו וְתֹורֹתָיו יִנְצֹרוּ הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃ | |
