| 87 1 | On the holy mount stands the city he founded; | In Praise of Zion. Psalm 87(v86) | שִׁיר יְסוּדָתֹו בְּהַרְרֵי־קֹדֶשׁ׃ |
| 2 | Yahweh loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. | אֹהֵב יְהוָה שַׁעֲרֵי צִיֹּון מִכֹּל מִשְׁכְּנֹות יַעֲקֹב׃ | |
| 3 | Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah | נִכְבָּדֹות מְדֻבָּר בָּךְ עִיר הָאֱלֹהִים סֶלָה׃ | |
| 4 | Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia - "This one was born there," they say. | אַזְכִּיר רַהַב וּבָבֶל לְיֹדְעָי הִנֵּה פְלֶשֶׁת וְצֹור עִם־כּוּשׁ זֶה יֻלַּד־שָׁם׃ | |
