| 13 1 | How long, O Yahweh? Will you forget me for ever? How long will you hide your face from me? | לַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד׃ | |
| 2 | How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? | עַד־אָנָה יְהוָה תִּשְׁכָּחֵנִי נֶצַח עַד־אָנָה תַּסְתִּיר אֶת־פָּנֶיךָ מִמֶּנִּי׃ | |
| 3 | Consider and answer me, O Yahweh my God; lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; | עַד־אָנָה אָשִׁית עֵצֹות בְּנַפְשִׁי יָגֹון בִּלְבָבִי יֹוםָם עַד־אָנָה יָרוּם אֹיְבִי עָלָי׃ | |
| 4 | lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed over him"; lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. | הַבִּיטָה עֲנֵנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי הָאִירָה עֵינַי פֶּן־אִישַׁן הַמָּוֶת׃ | |
