| 12 | In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet, and his disease became severe; yet even in his disease he did not seek Yahweh, but sought help from physicians. | | וַיֶּחֱלֶא אָסָא בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹושִׁים וָתֵשַׁע לְמַלְכוּתֹו בְּרַגְלָיו עַד־לְמַעְלָה חָלְיֹו וְגַם־בְּחָלְיֹו לֹא־דָרַשׁ אֶת־יְהוָה כִּי בָּרֹפְאִים׃ |

| 13 | And Asa slept with his fathers, dying in the forty-first year of his reign. | | וַיִּשְׁכַּב אָסָא עִם־אֲבֹתָיו וַיָּמָת בִּשְׁנַת אַרְבָּעִים וְאַחַת לְמָלְכֹו׃ |

| 14 | They buried him in the tomb which he had hewn out for himself in the city of David. They laid him on a bier which had been filled with various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumer's art; and they made a very great fire in his honour. | | וַיִּקְבְּרֻהוּ בְקִבְרֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר כָּרָה־לֹו בְּעִיר דָּוִיד וַיַּשְׁכִּיבֻהוּ בַּמִּשְׁכָּב אֲשֶׁר מִלֵּא בְּשָׂמִים וּזְנִים מְרֻקָּחִים בְּמִרְקַחַת מַעֲשֶׂה וַיִּשְׂרְפוּ־לֹו שְׂרֵפָה גְּדֹולָה עַד־לִמְאֹד׃ ף |
