| 25 | For David said, 'The LORD the God of Israel has given his people peace and has made his abode in Jerusalem for ever. | | כִּי אָמַר דָּוִיד הֵנִיחַ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְעַמֹּו וַיִּשְׁכֹּן בִּירוּשָׁלִַם עַד־לְעֹולָם׃ |

| 26 | The Levites will no longer have to carry the Tabernacle or any of the vessels for its service.' | | וְגַם לַלְוִיִּם אֵין־לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו לַעֲבֹדָתֹו׃ |

| 28 | Their duty was to help the sons of Aaron in the service of the house of the LORD: they were responsible for the care of the courts and the rooms, for the cleansing of all holy things, and the general service of the house of God; | | כִּי מַעֲמָדָם לְיַד־בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן לַעֲבֹדַת בֵּית יְהוָה עַל־הַחֲצֵרֹות וְעַל־הַלְּשָׁכֹות וְעַל־טָהֳרַת לְכָל־קֹדֶשׁ וּמַעֲשֵׂה עֲבֹדַת בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים׃ |

| 29 | for the rows of the Bread of the Presence, the flour for the grain-offerings, unleavened wafers, cakes baked on the griddle, and pastry, and for the weights and measures. | | וּלְלֶחֶם הַמַּעֲרֶכֶת וּלְסֹלֶת לְמִנְחָה וְלִרְקִיקֵי הַמַּצֹּות וְלַמַּחֲבַת וְלַמֻּרְבָּכֶת וּלְכָל־מְשׂוּרָה וּמִדָּה׃ |

| 30 | They were to be on duty continually before the LORD every morning and evening, giving thanks and praise to him, | | וְלַעֲמֹד בַּבֹּקֶר בַּבֹּקֶר לְהֹדֹות וּלְהַלֵּל לַיהוָה וְכֵן לָעָרֶב׃ |

| 31 | and at every offering of whole-offerings to the LORD, on sabbaths, new moons and at the appointed seasons, according to their prescribed number. | | וּלְכֹל הַעֲלֹות עֹלֹות לַיהוָה לַשַּׁבָּתֹות לֶחֳדָשִׁים וְלַמֹּעֲדִים בְּמִסְפָּר כְּמִשְׁפָּט עֲלֵיהֶם תָּמִיד לִפְנֵי יְהוָה׃ |

| 32 | The Levites were to have charge of the Tent of the Presence and of the sanctuary, but the sons of Aaron their kinsmen were charged with the service of worship in the house of the LORD. | | וְשָׁמְרוּ אֶת־מִשְׁמֶרֶת אֹהֶל־מֹועֵד וְאֵת מִשְׁמֶרֶת הַקֹּדֶשׁ וּמִשְׁמֶרֶת בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן אֲחֵיהֶם לַעֲבֹדַת בֵּית יְהוָה׃ ף |
