9 1SO ALL ISRAEL WERE REGISTERED and recorded in the book of the kings of Israel; but Judah for their sins were carried away to exile in Babylon. Those who returned from captivity. 1Chr.9.1-9וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל הִתְיַחְשׂוּ וְהִנָּם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר מַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וִיהוּדָה הָגְלוּ לְבָבֶל בְּמַעֲלָם׃ ס
2 vv2-22: cp Neh. 11.3-22 The first to occupy their ancestral land in their cities were lay Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple-servitors.  וְהַיֹּושְׁבִים הָרִאשֹׁנִים אֲשֶׁר בַּאֲחֻזָּתָם בְּעָרֵיהֶם יִשְׂרָאֵל הַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם וְהַנְּתִינִים׃
3Jerusalem was occupied partly by Judahites, partly by Benjamites, and partly by men of Ephraim and Manasseh. Judahites prob. rdg, Heb omitted:  וּבִירוּשָׁלִַם יָשְׁבוּ מִן־בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה וּמִן־בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן וּמִן־בְּנֵי אֶפְרַיִם וּמְנַשֶּׁה׃
4Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, a descendant of Perez son of Judah.  עוּתַי בֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד בֶּן־עָמְרִי בֶּן־אִמְרִי בֶן־כ= בָּנִימִן ק= בָּנִי ק= מִן־בְּנֵי־פֶרֶץ בֶּן־יְהוּדָה׃
5Shelanites: Asaiah the eldest and his sons.  וּמִן־הַשִּׁילֹונִי עֲשָׂיָה הַבְּכֹור וּבָנָיו׃
6The sons of Zerah: Jeuel and six hundred and ninety of their kinsmen.  וּמִן־בְּנֵי־זֶרַח יְעוּאֵל וַאֲחֵיהֶם שֵׁשׁ־מֵאֹות וְתִשְׁעִים׃
7Benjamites: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah,  וּמִן־בְּנֵי בִּנְיָמִן סַלּוּא בֶּן־מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן־הֹודַוְיָה בֶּן־הַסְּנֻאָה׃
8Ibneiah son of Jeroham, Elah son of Uzzi, son of Micri, Meshullam son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibniah,  וְיִבְנְיָה בֶּן־יְרֹחָם וְאֵלָה בֶן־עֻזִּי בֶּן־מִכְרִי וּמְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן־שְׁפַטְיָה בֶּן־רְעוּאֵל בֶּן־יִבְנִיָּה׃
9and their recorded kinsmen numbering nine hundred and fifty-six, all heads of families.

 וַאֲחֵיהֶם לְתֹלְדֹותָם תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות וַחֲמִשִּׁים וְשִׁשָּׁה כָּל־אֵלֶּה אֲנָשִׁים רָאשֵׁי אָבֹות לְבֵית אֲבֹתֵיהֶם׃ ס
