| 20 | The sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, his son Bered, his son Tahath, his son Eladah, his son Tahath, | Generations - Ephraim. 1Chr.7.20-29 | וּבְנֵי אֶפְרַיִם שׁוּתָלַח וּבֶרֶד בְּנֹו וְתַחַת בְּנֹו וְאֶלְעָדָה בְנֹו וְתַחַת בְּנֹו׃ |

| 21 | his son Zabad, his son Shuthelah. Ephraim's other sons Ezer and Elead were killed by the native Gittites when they came down to lift their cattle. | | וְזָבָד בְּנֹו וְשׁוּתֶלַח בְּנֹו וְעֵזֶר וְאֶלְעָד וַהֲרָגוּם אַנְשֵׁי־גַת הַנֹּולָדִים בָּאָרֶץ כִּי יָרְדוּ לָקַחַת אֶת־מִקְנֵיהֶם׃ |

| 22 | Their father Ephraim long mourned for them, and his kinsmen came to comfort him. | | וַיִּתְאַבֵּל אֶפְרַיִם אֲבִיהֶם יָמִים רַבִּים וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶחָיו לְנַחֲמֹו׃ |

| 23 | Then he had intercourse with his wife; she conceived and had a son whom he named Beriah (because disaster Heb beraah had come on his family). | | וַיָּבֹא אֶל־אִשְׁתֹּו וַתַּהַר וַתֵּלֶד בֵּן וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו בְּרִיעָה כִּי בְרָעָה הָיְתָה בְּבֵיתֹו׃ |

| 24 | He had a daughter named Sherah; she built Lower and Upper Beth-horon and Uzzen-sherah. | | וּבִתֹּו שֶׁאֱרָה וַתִּבֶן אֶת־בֵּית־חֹורֹון הַתַּחְתֹּון וְאֶת־הָעֶלְיֹון וְאֵת אֻזֵּן שֶׁאֱרָה׃ |

| 25 | He also had a son named Rephah; his son was Resheph, his son Telah, his son Tahan, | | וְרֶפַח בְּנֹו וְרֶשֶׁף וְתֶלַח בְּנֹו וְתַחַן בְּנֹו׃ |

| 26 | his son Laadan, his son Ammihud, his son Elishama, | | לַעְדָּן בְּנֹו עַמִּיהוּד בְּנֹו אֱלִישָׁמָע בְּנֹו׃ |

| 27 | his son Nun, his son Joshua.
| | נֹון בְּנֹו יְהֹושֻׁעַ בְּנֹו׃ |

| 28 | Their lands and settlements were: Bethel and its dependent villages, to the east Naaran, to the west Gezer, Shechem, and Gaza, with their villages. | | וַאֲחֻזָּתָם וּמֹשְׁבֹותָם בֵּית־אֵל וּבְנֹתֶיהָ וְלַמִּזְרָח נַעֲרָן וְלַמַּעֲרָב גֶּזֶר וּבְנֹתֶיהָ וּשְׁכֶם וּבְנֹתֶיהָ עַד־עַיָּה וּבְנֹתֶיהָ׃ |

| 29 | In the possession of Manasseh were Beth-shean, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, with their villages. In all of these lived the descendants of Joseph the son of Israel.
| | וְעַל־יְדֵי בְנֵי־מְנַשֶּׁה בֵּית־שְׁאָן וּבְנֹתֶיהָ תַּעְנַךְ וּבְנֹתֶיהָ מְגִדֹּו וּבְנֹותֶיהָ דֹּור וּבְנֹותֶיהָ בְּאֵלֶּה יָשְׁבוּ בְּנֵי יֹוסֵף בֶּן־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ ף |
