| 15 1 | In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel Azariah the son of Amaziah, king of Judah, began to reign. | UZZIAH/AZARIAH king of Judah. (786 BCE) 2Kgs.15.1-7 | בִּשְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וָשֶׁבַע שָׁנָה לְיָרָבְעָם מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל מָלַךְ עֲזַרְיָה בֶן־אֲמַצְיָה מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה׃ |

| 2 | He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. | | בֶּן־שֵׁשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה הָיָה בְמָלְכֹו וַחֲמִשִּׁים וּשְׁתַּיִם שָׁנָה מָלַךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָם וְשֵׁם אִמֹּו יְכָלְיָהוּ מִירוּשָׁלִָם׃ |

| 3 | And he did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. | | וַיַּעַשׂ הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה אֲמַצְיָהוּ אָבִיו׃ |

| 4 | Nevertheless the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. | | רַק הַבָּמֹות לֹא־סָרוּ עֹוד הָעָם מְזַבְּחִים וּמְקַטְּרִים בַּבָּמֹות׃ |

| 5 | And Yahweh smote the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and he dwelt in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son was over the household, governing the people of the land. | | וַיְנַגַּע יְהוָה אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיְהִי מְצֹרָע עַד־יֹום מֹתֹו וַיֵּשֶׁב בְּבֵית הַחָפְשִׁית וְיֹותָם בֶּן־הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־הַבַּיִת שֹׁפֵט אֶת־עַם הָאָרֶץ׃ |

| 6 | Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? | | וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי עֲזַרְיָהוּ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה׃ |

| 7 | And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son reigned in his stead. | | וַיִּשְׁכַּב עֲזַרְיָה עִם־אֲבֹתָיו וַיִּקְבְּרוּ אֹתֹו עִם־אֲבֹתָיו בְּעִיר דָּוִד וַיִּמְלֹךְ יֹותָם בְּנֹו תַּחְתָּיו׃ ף |
