| 19 | Now the men of the city said to Elisha, "Behold, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful." | Miracles of Elisha. 2Kgs.2.19-25 | וַיֹּאמְרוּ אַנְשֵׁי הָעִיר אֶל־אֱלִישָׁע הִנֵּה־נָא מֹושַׁב הָעִיר טֹוב כַּאֲשֶׁר אֲדֹנִי רֹאֶה וְהַמַּיִם רָעִים וְהָאָרֶץ מְשַׁכָּלֶת׃ |

| 20 | He said, "Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it." So they brought it to him. | | וַיֹּאמֶר קְחוּ־לִי צְלֹחִית חֲדָשָׁה וְשִׂימוּ שָׁם מֶלַח וַיִּקְחוּ אֵלָיו׃ |

| 21 | Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it, and said, "Thus says Yahweh, I have made this water wholesome; henceforth neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it." | | וַיֵּצֵא אֶל־מֹוצָא הַמַּיִם וַיַּשְׁלֶךְ־שָׁם מֶלַח וַיֹּאמֶר כֹּה־אָמַר יְהוָה רִפִּאתִי לַמַּיִם הָאֵלֶּה לֹא־יִהְיֶה מִשָּׁם עֹוד מָוֶת וּמְשַׁכָּלֶת׃ |

| 22 | So the water has been wholesome to this day, according to the word which Elisha spoke. | | וַיֵּרָפוּ הַמַּיִם עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה כִּדְבַר אֱלִישָׁע אֲשֶׁר דִּבֵּר׃ ף |

| 23 | He went up from there to Bethel; and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, "Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!" | | וַיַּעַל מִשָּׁם בֵּית־אֵל וְהוּא עֹלֶה בַדֶּרֶךְ וּנְעָרִים קְטַנִּים יָצְאוּ מִן־הָעִיר וַיִּתְקַלְּסוּ־בֹו וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹו עֲלֵה קֵרֵחַ עֲלֵה קֵרֵחַ׃ |

| 24 | And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of Yahweh. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys. | | וַיִּפֶן אַחֲרָיו וַיִּרְאֵם וַיְקַלְלֵם בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה וַתֵּצֶאנָה שְׁתַּיִם דֻּבִּים מִן־הַיַּעַר וַתְּבַקַּעְנָה מֵהֶם אַרְבָּעִים וּשְׁנֵי יְלָדִים׃ |

| 25 | From there he went on to Mount Carmel, and thence he returned to Samaria. | | וַיֵּלֶךְ מִשָּׁם אֶל־הַר הַכַּרְמֶל וּמִשָּׁם שָׁב שֹׁמְרֹון׃ ף |
