| 25 | In the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem; | | וַיְהִי בַּשָּׁנָה הַחֲמִישִׁית לַמֶּלֶךְ רְחַבְעָם עָלָה כ= שׁוּשַׁק ק= שִׁישַׁק מֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִם עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם׃ |

| 26 | he took away the treasures of the house of Yahweh and the treasures of the king's house; he took away everything. He also took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made; | | וַיִּקַּח אֶת־אֹצְרֹות בֵּית־יְהוָה וְאֶת־אֹוצְרֹות בֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֶת־הַכֹּל לָקָח וַיִּקַּח אֶת־כָּל־מָגִנֵּי הַזָּהָב אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה שְׁלֹמֹה׃ |

| 27 | and King Rehoboam made in their stead shields of bronze, and committed them to the hands of the officers of the guard, who kept the door of the king's house. | | וַיַּעַשׂ הַמֶּלֶךְ רְחַבְעָם תַּחְתָּם מָגִנֵּי נְחֹשֶׁת וְהִפְקִיד עַל־יַד שָׂרֵי הָרָצִים הַשֹּׁמְרִים פֶּתַח בֵּית הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ |

| 28 | And as often as the king went into the house of Yahweh, the guard bore them and brought them back to the guardroom. | | וַיְהִי מִדֵּי־בֹא הַמֶּלֶךְ בֵּית יְהוָה יִשָּׂאוּם הָרָצִים וֶהֱשִׁיבוּם אֶל־תָּא הָרָצִים׃ |
