| 4 | Except David and Hezekiah and Josiah they all sinned greatly, for they forsook the law of the Most High; the kings of Judah came to an end; | Jeremiah. Sir.49.4-7 | Πάρεξ Δαυιδ καὶ Εζεκιου καὶ Ιωσιου πάντες πλημμέλειαν ἐπλημμέλησαν· κατέλιπον γὰρ τὸν νόμον τοῦ ὑψίστου, οἱ βασιλεῖς Ιουδα ἐξέλιπον· |
| 5 | for they gave their power to others, and their glory to a foreign nation, | ἔδωκαν γὰρ τὸ κέρας αὐτῶν ἑτέροις καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν ἔθνει ἀλλοτρίῳ. | |
