6 | Esau discovered that Isaac had given Jacob his blessing and had sent him away to Paddan-aram to find a wife there; | Esau takes another wife. Gn.28.6-9 | וַיַּרְא עֵשָׂו כִּי־בֵרַךְ יִצְחָק אֶת־יַעֲקֹב וְשִׁלַּח אֹתֹו פַּדֶּנָה אֲרָם לָקַחַת־לֹו מִשָּׁם אִשָּׁה בְּבָרֲכֹו אֹתֹו וַיְצַו עָלָיו לֵאמֹר לֹא־תִקַּח אִשָּׁה מִבְּנֹות כְּנָעַן׃ |

7 | and that when he blessed him he had forbidden him to marry a woman of Canaan, and that Jacob had obeyed his father and mother and gone to Paddan-aram. | | וַיִּשְׁמַע יַעֲקֹב אֶל־אָבִיו וְאֶל־אִמֹּו וַיֵּלֶךְ פַּדֶּנָה אֲרָם׃ |

8 | Then Esau, seeing that his father disliked the women of Canaan, | | וַיַּרְא עֵשָׂו כִּי רָעֹות בְּנֹות כְּנָעַן בְּעֵינֵי יִצְחָק אָבִיו׃ |

9 | went to Ishmael, and, in addition to his other wives, he married Mahalath sister. of Nebaioth and daughter of Abraham's son Ishmael. | | וַיֵּלֶךְ עֵשָׂו אֶל־יִשְׁמָעֵאל וַיִּקַּח אֶת־מָחֲלַת בַּת־יִשְׁמָעֵאל בֶּן־אַבְרָהָם אֲחֹות נְבָיֹות עַל־נָשָׁיו לֹו לְאִשָּׁה׃ ס |
