| 27 | Now these are the descendants of Terah. Terah was the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran was the father of Lot. | Generation - Terah. Gn.11.27-32 | וְאֵלֶּה תֹּולְדֹת תֶּרַח תֶּרַח הֹולִיד אֶת־אַבְרָם אֶת־נָחֹור וְאֶת־הָרָן וְהָרָן הֹולִיד אֶת־לֹוט׃ |

| 28 | Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans. | | וַיָּמָת הָרָן עַל־פְּנֵי תֶּרַח אָבִיו בְּאֶרֶץ מֹולַדְתֹּו בְּאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים׃ |

| 29 | And Abram and Nahor took wives; the name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and Iscah. | | וַיִּקַּח אַבְרָם וְנָחֹור לָהֶם נָשִׁים שֵׁם אֵשֶׁת־אַבְרָם שָׂרָי וְשֵׁם אֵשֶׁת־נָחֹור מִלְכָּה בַּת־הָרָן אֲבִי־מִלְכָּה וַאֲבִי יִסְכָּה׃ |

| 30 | Now Sarai was barren; she had no child. | | וַתְּהִי שָׂרַי עֲקָרָה אֵין לָהּ וָלָד׃ |

| 31 | Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan; but when they came to Haran, they settled there. | | וַיִּקַּח תֶּרַח אֶת־אַבְרָם בְּנֹו וְאֶת־לֹוט בֶּן־הָרָן בֶּן־בְּנֹו וְאֵת שָׂרַי כַּלָּתֹו אֵשֶׁת אַבְרָם בְּנֹו וַיֵּצְאוּ אִתָּם מֵאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים לָלֶכֶת אַרְצָה כְּנַעַן וַיָּבֹאוּ עַד־חָרָן וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם׃ |
