| 17 | Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch; and he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. | Generations - Cain. Gn.4.17-24 | וַיֵּדַע קַיִן אֶת־אִשְׁתֹּו וַתַּהַר וַתֵּלֶד אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ וַיְהִי בֹּנֶה עִיר וַיִּקְרָא שֵׁם הָעִיר כְּשֵׁם בְּנֹו חֲנֹוךְ׃ |
| 18 | To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael the father of Methushael, and Methushael the father of Lamech. | וַיִּוָּלֵד לַחֲנֹוךְ אֶת־עִירָד וְעִירָד יָלַד אֶת־מְחוּיָאֵל וּמְחִיּיָאֵל יָלַד אֶת־מְתוּשָׁאֵל וּמְתוּשָׁאֵל יָלַד אֶת־לָמֶךְ׃ | |

| 22 | Zillah bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. | וְצִלָּה גַם־הִוא יָלְדָה אֶת־תּוּבַל קַיִן לֹטֵשׁ כָּל־חֹרֵשׁ נְחֹשֶׁת וּבַרְזֶל וַאֲחֹות תּוּבַל־קַיִן נַעֲמָה׃ | |
| 23 | Lamech said to his wives: "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; | וַיֹּאמֶר לֶמֶךְ לְנָשָׁיו עָדָה וְצִלָּה
כִּי אִישׁ הָרַגְתִּי לְפִצְעִי וְיֶלֶד לְחַבֻּרָתִי׃ | |
