| 6 1 | David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. | The Ark is brought to Jerusalem. 2Sm.6.1-23 | 1Chr.13.1-14 | 1Chr.15.25-16.6 | 1Chr.16.43 | וַיֹּסֶף עֹוד דָּוִד אֶת־כָּל־בָּחוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁלֹשִׁים אָלֶף׃ |

| 2 | And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of Yahweh of hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim. | | וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלֶךְ דָּוִד וְכָל־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אִתֹּו מִבַּעֲלֵי יְהוּדָה לְהַעֲלֹות מִשָּׁם אֵת אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָא שֵׁם שֵׁם יְהוָה צְבָאֹות יֹשֵׁב הַכְּרֻבִים עָלָיו׃ |

| 3 | And they carried the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were driving the new cart | | וַיַּרְכִּבוּ אֶת־אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים אֶל־עֲגָלָה חֲדָשָׁה וַיִּשָּׂאֻהוּ מִבֵּית אֲבִינָדָב אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּבְעָה וְעֻזָּא וְאַחְיֹו בְּנֵי אֲבִינָדָב נֹהֲגִים אֶת־הָעֲגָלָה חֲדָשָׁה׃ |

| 4 | with the ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark. | | וַיִּשָּׂאֻהוּ מִבֵּית אֲבִינָדָב אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּבְעָה עִם אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים וְאַחְיֹו הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵי הָאָרֹון׃ |

| 5 | And David and all the house of Israel were making merry before Yahweh with all their might, with songs and lyres and harps and tambourines and castanets and cymbals. | | וְדָוִד וְכָל־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל מְשַׂחֲקִים לִפְנֵי יְהוָה בְּכֹל עֲצֵי בְרֹושִׁים וּבְכִנֹּרֹות וּבִנְבָלִים וּבְתֻפִּים וּבִמְנַעַנְעִים וּבְצֶלְצֶלִים׃ |

| 6 | And when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. | | וַיָּבֹאוּ עַד־גֹּרֶן נָכֹון וַיִּשְׁלַח עֻזָּא אֶל־אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים וַיֹּאחֶז בֹּו כִּי שָׁמְטוּ הַבָּקָר׃ |

| 7 | And the anger of Yahweh was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there because he put forth his hand to the ark; and he died there beside the ark of God. | | וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּעֻזָּה וַיַּכֵּהוּ שָׁם הָאֱלֹהִים עַל־הַשַּׁל וַיָּמָת שָׁם עִם אֲרֹון הָאֱלֹהִים׃ |

| 8 | And David was angry because Yahweh had broken forth upon Uzzah; and that place is called Perez-uzzah, to this day. | | וַיִּחַר לְדָוִד עַל אֲשֶׁר פָּרַץ יְהוָה פֶּרֶץ בְּעֻזָּה וַיִּקְרָא לַמָּקֹום הַהוּא פֶּרֶץ עֻזָּה עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃ |

| 9 | And David was afraid of Yahweh that day; and he said, "How can the ark of Yahweh come to me?" | | וַיִּרָא דָוִד אֶת־יְהוָה בַּיֹּום הַהוּא וַיֹּאמֶר אֵיךְ יָבֹוא אֵלַי אֲרֹון יְהוָה׃ |

| 10 | So David was not willing to take the ark of Yahweh into the city of David; but David took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. | | וְלֹא־אָבָה דָוִד לְהָסִיר אֵלָיו אֶת־אֲרֹון יְהוָה עַל־עִיר דָּוִד וַיַּטֵּהוּ דָוִד בֵּית עֹבֵד־אֱדֹום הַגִּתִּי׃ |

| 11 | And the ark of Yahweh remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-edom and all his household. | | וַיֵּשֶׁב אֲרֹון יְהוָה בֵּית עֹבֵד אֱדֹם הַגִּתִּי שְׁלֹשָׁה חֳדָשִׁים וַיְבָרֶךְ יְהוָה אֶת־עֹבֵד אֱדֹם וְאֶת־כָּל־בֵּיתֹו׃ |
