Revised Standard Version Psalms:123 katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE

A Song of Ascents. [A Song of Ascents.]
1 To thee I lift up my eyes,
O thou who art enthroned in the heavens!
Be Merciful to us O Lord. Psalm 123(v122)To you I lift up my eyes,
O you who are enthroned in the heavens!
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the LORD our God,
till he have mercy upon us.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to Yahweh our God,
till he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us,
for we have had more than enough of contempt.
Have mercy upon us, O Yahweh, have mercy upon us,
for we have had more than enough of contempt.
4 Too long our soul has been sated
with the scorn of those who are at ease,
the contempt of the proud.
Too long our soul has been sated
with the scorn of those who are at ease,
the contempt of the proud.
