| 2 | Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. | τῆς φιλοξενίας μὴ ἐπιλανθάνεσθε, διὰ ταύτης γὰρ ἐλαθόν τινες ξενίσαντες ἀγγέλους. | ||
| 3 | Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you also are in the body. | μιμνῄσκεσθε τῶν δεσμίων ὡς συνδεδεμένοι, τῶν κακουχουμένων ὡς καὶ αὐτοὶ ὄντες ἐν σώματι. | ||
| 4 | Let marriage be held in honour among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the immoral and adulterous. | Τίμιος ὁ γάμος ἐν πᾶσιν καὶ ἡ κοίτη ἀμίαντος, πόρνους γὰρ καὶ μοιχοὺς κρινεῖ ὁ θεός. | ||

| 7 | Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God; consider the outcome of their life, and imitate their faith. | Μνημονεύετε τῶν ἡγουμένων ὑμῶν, οἱτινες ἐλάλησαν ὑμῖν τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ, ὧν ἀναθεωροῦντες τὴν ἐκβασιν τῆς ἀναστροφῆς μιμεῖσθε τὴν πίστιν. | ||
| 8 | Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. | Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς ἐχθὲς καὶ σήμερον ὁ αὐτός, καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας. | ||
| 9 | Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is well that the heart be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited their adherents. | διδαχαῖς ποικίλαις καὶ ξέναις μὴ παραφέρεσθε· καλὸν γὰρ χάριτι βεβαιοῦσθαι τὴν καρδίαν, οὐ βρώμασιν, ἐν οἷς οὐκ ὠφελήθησαν οἱ περιπατοῦντες. | ||
| 10 | We have an altar from which those who serve the tent have no right to eat. | ἐχομεν θυσιαστήριον ἐξ οὗ φαγεῖν οὐκ ἐχουσιν ἐξουσίαν οἱ τῇ σκηνῇ λατρεύοντες. | ||
| 11 | For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. | ὧν γὰρ εἰσφέρεται ζῴων τὸ αἷμα περὶ ἀμαρτίας εἰς τὰ ἀγια διὰ τοῦ ἀρχιερέως, τούτων τὰ σώματα κατακαίεται ἐξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς. | ||
| 12 | So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. | διὸ καὶ Ἰησοῦς, ἵνα ἀγιάσῃ διὰ τοῦ ἰδίου αἱματος τὸν λαόν, ἐξω τῆς πύλης ἐπαθεν. | ||
| 13 | Therefore let us go forth to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured. | τοίνυν ἐξερχώμεθα πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς, τὸν ὀνειδισμὸν αὐτοῦ φέροντες· | ||
| 14 | For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city which is to come. | οὐ γὰρ ἐχομεν ὧδε μένουσαν πόλιν, ἀλλὰ τὴν μέλλουσαν ἐπιζητοῦμεν. | ||
| 15 | Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. | δῖ αὐτοῦ ἀναφέρωμεν θυσίαν αἰνέσεως διὰ παντὸς τῷ θεῷ, τοῦτ' ἐστιν καρπὸν χειλέων ὁμολογούντων τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ. | ||
| 16 | Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. | τῆς δὲ εὐποιΐας καὶ κοινωνίας μὴ ἐπιλανθάνεσθε, τοιαύταις γὰρ θυσίαις εὐαρεστεῖται ὁ θεός. | ||
| 17 | Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advantage to you. | Πείθεσθε τοῖς ἡγουμένοις ὑμῶν καὶ ὑπείκετε, αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀγρυπνοῦσιν ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν ὡς λόγον ἀποδώσοντες, ἵνα μετὰ χαρᾶς τοῦτο ποιῶσιν καὶ μὴ στενάζοντες, ἀλυσιτελὲς γὰρ ὑμῖν τοῦτο. | ||
| 18 | Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honourably in all things. | Προσεύχεσθε περὶ ἡμῶν, πειθόμεθα γὰρ ὅτι καλὴν συνείδησιν ἐχομεν, ἐν πᾶσιν καλῶς θέλοντες ἀναστρέφεσθαι. | ||
| 19 | I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you the sooner. | περισσοτέρως δὲ παρακαλῶ τοῦτο ποιῆσαι ἵνα τάχιον ἀποκατασταθῶ ὑμῖν. | ||

| 22 | I appeal to you, brethren, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly. | Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, ἀνέχεσθε τοῦ λόγου τῆς παρακλήσεως, καὶ γὰρ διὰ βραχέων ἐπέστειλα ὑμῖν. | ||
| 23 | You should understand that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I shall see you if he comes soon. | Γινώσκετε τὸν ἀδελφὸν ἡμῶν Τιμόθεον ἀπολελυμένον, μεθ' οὗ ἐὰν τάχιον ἐρχηται ὀψομαι ὑμᾶς. | ||
| 24 | Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those who come from Italy send you greetings. | Ἀσπάσασθε πάντας τοὺς ἡγουμένους ὑμῶν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀγίους. ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰταλίας. | ||
| 25 | Grace be with all of you. Amen. | ἡ χάρις μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν. | ||
