National Song of Triumph. Psalm 68(v67) | לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמֹור שִׁיר׃ | |||
1 | Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; let those who hate him flee before him! | יָקוּם אֱלֹהִים יָפוּצוּ אֹויְבָיו וְיָנוּסוּ מְשַׂנְאָיו מִפָּנָיו׃ | ||
2 | As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before fire, let the wicked perish before God! | כְּהִנְדֹּף עָשָׁן תִּנְדֹּף כְּהִמֵּס דֹּונַג מִפְּנֵי־אֵשׁ יֹאבְדוּ רְשָׁעִים מִפְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים׃ | ||
3 | But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy! | וְצַדִּיקִים יִשְׂמְחוּ יַעַלְצוּ לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים וְיָשִׂישׂוּ בְשִׂמְחָה׃ | ||
4 | Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds; his name is Yahweh, exult before him! | שִׁירוּ לֵאלֹהִים זַמְּרוּ שְׁמֹו סֹלּוּ לָרֹכֵב בָּעֲרָבֹות בְּיָהּ שְׁמֹו וְעִלְזוּ לְפָנָיו׃ | ||
5 | Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. | אֲבִי יְתֹומִים וְדַיַּן אַלְמָנֹות אֱלֹהִים בִּמְעֹון קָדְשֹׁו׃ | ||
6 | God gives the desolate a home to dwell in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. | אֱלֹהִים מֹושִׁיב יְחִידִים בַּיְתָה מֹוצִיא אֲסִירִים בַּכֹּושָׁרֹות אַךְ סֹורֲרִים שָׁכְנוּ צְחִיחָה׃ | ||
7 | O God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, | אֱלֹהִים בְּצֵאתְךָ לִפְנֵי עַמֶּךָ בְּצַעְדְּךָ בִישִׁימֹון סֶלָה׃ | ||
8 | the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, at the presence of God; yon Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel. | אֶרֶץ רָעָשָׁה אַף־שָׁמַיִם נָטְפוּ מִפְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים זֶה סִינַי מִפְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ | ||
9 | Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad; you restored your heritage as it languished; | גֶּשֶׁם נְדָבֹות תָּנִיף אֱלֹהִים נַחֲלָתְךָ וְנִלְאָה אַתָּה כֹונַנְתָּהּ׃ | ||
10 | your flock found a dwelling in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy. | חַיָּתְךָ יָשְׁבוּ־בָהּ תָּכִין בְּטֹובָתְךָ לֶעָנִי אֱלֹהִים׃ | ||
11 | The Yahweh gives the command; great is the host of those who bore the tidings: | אֲדֹנָי יִתֶּן־אֹמֶר הַמְבַשְּׂרֹות צָבָא רָב׃ | ||
12 | "The kings of the armies, they flee, they flee!" The women at home divide the spoil, | מַלְכֵי צְבָאֹות יִדֹּדוּן יִדֹּדוּן וּנְוַת בַּיִת תְּחַלֵּק שָׁלָל׃ | ||
13 | though they stay among the sheepfolds - the wings of a dove covered with silver, its pinions with green gold. | אִם־תִּשְׁכְּבוּן בֵּין שְׁפַתָּיִם כַּנְפֵי יֹונָה נֶחְפָּה בַכֶּסֶף וְאֶבְרֹותֶיהָ בִּירַקְרַק חָרוּץ׃ | ||
14 | When the Almighty scattered kings there, snow fell on Zalmon. | בְּפָרֵשׂ שַׁדַּי מְלָכִים בָּהּ תַּשְׁלֵג בְּצַלְמֹון׃ | ||
15 | O mighty mountain, mountain of Bashan; O many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan! | הַר־אֱלֹהִים הַר־בָּשָׁן הַר גַּבְנֻנִּים הַר־בָּשָׁן׃ | ||
16 | Why look you with envy, O many-peaked mountain, at the mount which God desired for his abode, yea, where Yahweh will dwell for ever? | לָמָּה תְּרַצְּדוּן הָרִים גַּבְנֻנִּים הָהָר חָמַד אֱלֹהִים לְשִׁבְתֹּו אַף־יְהוָה יִשְׁכֹּן לָנֶצַח׃ | ||
17 | With mighty chariotry, twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands, Yahweh came from Sinai into the holy place. | רֶכֶב אֱלֹהִים רִבֹּתַיִם אַלְפֵי שִׁנְאָן אֲדֹנָי בָם סִינַי בַּקֹּדֶשׁ׃ | ||
18 | You ascended the high mount, leading captives in your train, and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that Yahweh God may dwell there. | עָלִיתָ לַמָּרֹום שָׁבִיתָ שֶּׁבִי לָקַחְתָּ מַתָּנֹות בָּאָדָם וְאַף סֹורְרִים לִשְׁכֹּן יָהּ אֱלֹהִים׃ | ||
19 | Blessed be Yahweh, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. | בָּרוּךְ אֲדֹנָי יֹום יֹום יַעֲמָס־לָנוּ הָאֵל יְשׁוּעָתֵנוּ סֶלָה׃ | ||
20 | Our God is a God of salvation; and to GOD, Yahweh, belongs escape from death. | הָאֵל לָנוּ אֵל לְמֹושָׁעֹות וְלֵיהוִה אֲדֹנָי לַמָּוֶת תֹּוצָאֹות׃ | ||
21 | But God will shatter the heads of his enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways. | אַךְ־אֱלֹהִים יִמְחַץ רֹאשׁ אֹיְבָיו קָדְקֹד שֵׂעָר מִתְהַלֵּךְ בַּאֲשָׁמָיו׃ | ||
22 | The Yahweh said, "I will bring them back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea, | אָמַר אֲדֹנָי מִבָּשָׁן אָשִׁיב אָשִׁיב מִמְּצֻלֹות יָם׃ | ||
23 | that you may bathe your feet in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the foe." | לְמַעַן תִּמְחַץ רַגְלְךָ בְּדָם לְשֹׁון כְּלָבֶיךָ מֵאֹיְבִים מִנֵּהוּ׃ | ||
24 | Your solemn processions are seen, O God, the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary - | רָאוּ הֲלִיכֹותֶיךָ אֱלֹהִים הֲלִיכֹות אֵלִי מַלְכִּי בַקֹּדֶשׁ׃ | ||
25 | the singers in front, the minstrels last, between them maidens playing timbrels: | קִדְּמוּ שָׁרִים אַחַר נֹגְנִים בְּתֹוךְ עֲלָמֹות תֹּופֵפֹות׃ | ||
26 | "Bless God in the great congregation, Yahweh, O you who are of Israel's fountain!" | בְּמַקְהֵלֹות בָּרְכוּ אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה מִמְּקֹור יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ | ||
27 | There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead, the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali. | שָׁם בִּנְיָמִן צָעִיר רֹדֵם שָׂרֵי יְהוּדָה רִגְמָתָם שָׂרֵי זְבֻלוּן שָׂרֵי נַפְתָּלִי׃ | ||
28 | Summon your might, O God; show your strength, O God, you who have wrought for us. | צִוָּה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עֻזֶּךָ עוּזָּה אֱלֹהִים זוּ פָּעַלְתָּ לָּנוּ׃ | ||
29 | Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings bear gifts to you. | מֵהֵיכָלֶךָ עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם לְךָ יֹובִילוּ מְלָכִים שָׁי׃ | ||
30 | Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample under foot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war. | גְּעַר חַיַּת קָנֶה עֲדַת אַבִּירִים בְּעֶגְלֵי עַמִּים מִתְרַפֵּס בְּרַצֵּי־כָסֶף בִּזַּר עַמִּים קְרָבֹות יֶחְפָּצוּ׃ | ||
31 | Let bronze be brought from Egypt; let Ethiopia hasten to stretch out her hands to God. | יֶאֱתָיוּ חַשְׁמַנִּים מִנִּי מִצְרָיִם כּוּשׁ תָּרִיץ יָדָיו לֵאלֹהִים׃ | ||
32 | Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth; sing praises to Yahweh, | מַמְלְכֹות הָאָרֶץ שִׁירוּ לֵאלֹהִים זַמְּרוּ אֲדֹנָי סֶלָה׃ | ||
33 | to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; lo, he sends forth his voice, his mighty voice. | לָרֹכֵב בִּשְׁמֵי שְׁמֵי־קֶדֶם הֵן יִתֵּן בְּקֹולֹו קֹול עֹז׃ | ||
34 | Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and his power is in the skies. | תְּנוּ עֹז לֵאלֹהִים עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל גַּאֲוָתֹו וְעֻזֹּו בַּשְּׁחָקִים׃ | ||
35 | Terrible is God in his sanctuary, the God of Israel, he gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God! | נֹורָא אֱלֹהִים מִמִּקְדָּשֶׁיךָ אֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא נֹתֵן עֹז וְתַעֲצֻמֹות לָעָם בָּרוּךְ אֱלֹהִים׃ | ||
