| Wickedness of the Sinner & God's Goodness. Psalm 36(v35) | לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְעֶבֶד־יְהוָה לְדָוִד׃ | |||
| 1 | Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes. | נְאֻם־פֶּשַׁע לָרָשָׁע בְּקֶרֶב לִבִּי אֵין־פַּחַד אֱלֹהִים לְנֶגֶד עֵינָיו׃ | ||
| 2 | For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated. | כִּי־הֶחֱלִיק אֵלָיו בְּעֵינָיו לִמְצֹא עֲוֹנֹו לִשְׂנֹא׃ | ||
| 3 | The words of his mouth are mischief and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good. | דִּבְרֵי־פִיו אָוֶן וּמִרְמָה חָדַל לְהַשְׂכִּיל לְהֵיטִיב׃ | ||
| 4 | He plots mischief while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he spurns not evil. | אָוֶן יַחְשֹׁב עַל־מִשְׁכָּבֹו יִתְיַצֵּב עַל־דֶּרֶךְ לֹא־טֹוב רָע לֹא יִמְאָס׃ | ||
| 5 | Your steadfast love, O Yahweh, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. | יְהוָה בְּהַשָּׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ אֱמוּנָתְךָ עַד־שְׁחָקִים׃ | ||
| 6 | Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Yahweh. | צִדְקָתְכָ כְּהַרְרֵי־אֵל מִשְׁפָּטֶךָ תְּהֹום רַבָּה אָדָם־וּבְהֵמָה תֹושִׁיעַ יְהוָה׃ | ||
| 7 | How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of your wings. | מַה־יָּקָר חַסְדְּךָ אֱלֹהִים וּבְנֵי אָדָם בְּצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ יֶחֱסָיוּן׃ | ||
| 8 | They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. | יִרְוְיֻן מִדֶּשֶׁן בֵּיתֶךָ וְנַחַל עֲדָנֶיךָ תַשְׁקֵם׃ | ||
| 9 | For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. | כִּי־עִמְּךָ מְקֹור חַיִּים בְּאֹורְךָ נִרְאֶה־אֹור׃ | ||
| 10 | O continue your steadfast love to those who know you, and your salvation to the upright of heart! | מְשֹׁךְ חַסְדְּךָ לְיֹדְעֶיךָ וְצִדְקָתְךָ לְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב׃ | ||
| 11 | Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. | אַל־תְּבֹואֵנִי רֶגֶל גַּאֲוָה וְיַד־רְשָׁעִים אַל־תְּנִדֵנִי׃ | ||
| 12 | There the evil doers lie prostrate, they are thrust down, unable to rise. | שָׁם נָפְלוּ פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן דֹּחוּ וְלֹא־יָכְלוּ קוּם׃ | ||
