| The Lord, the Sun of Righteousness. Psalm 19(v18) | לַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד׃ | |||
| 1 | The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. | הַשָּׁמַיִם מְסַפְּרִים כְּבֹוד־אֵל וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו מַגִּיד הָרָקִיעַ׃ | ||
| 2 | Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. | יֹום לְיֹום יַבִּיעַ אֹמֶר וְלַיְלָה לְּלַיְלָה יְחַוֶּה־דָּעַת׃ | ||
| 3 | There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; | אֵין־אֹמֶר וְאֵין דְּבָרִים בְּלִי נִשְׁמָע קֹולָם׃ | ||
| 4 | yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, | בְּכָל־הָאָרֶץ יָצָא קַוָּם וּבִקְצֵה תֵבֵל מִלֵּיהֶם לַשֶּׁמֶשׁ שָׂם־אֹהֶל בָּהֶם׃ | ||
| 5 | which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. | וְהוּא כְּחָתָן יֹצֵא מֵחֻפָּתֹו יָשִׂישׂ כְּגִבֹּור לָרוּץ אֹרַח׃ | ||
| 6 | Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and there is nothing hid from its heat. | מִקְצֵה הַשָּׁמַיִם מֹוצָאֹו וּתְקוּפָתֹו עַל־קְצֹותָם וְאֵין נִסְתָּר מֵחַמָּתֹו׃ | ||
| 7 | The law of Yahweh is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple; | תֹּורַת יְהוָה תְּמִימָה מְשִׁיבַת נָפֶשׁ עֵדוּת יְהוָה נֶאֱמָנָה מַחְכִּימַת פֶּתִי׃ | ||
| 8 | the precepts of Yahweh are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes; | פִּקּוּדֵי יְהוָה יְשָׁרִים מְשַׂמְּחֵי־לֵב מִצְוַת יְהוָה בָּרָה מְאִירַת עֵינָיִם׃ | ||
| 9 | the fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of Yahweh are true, and righteous altogether. | יִרְאַת יְהוָה טְהֹורָה עֹומֶדֶת לָעַד מִשְׁפְּטֵי־יְהוָה אֱמֶת צָדְקוּ יַחְדָּו׃ | ||
| 10 | More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. | הַנֶּחֱמָדִים מִזָּהָב וּמִפַּז רָב וּמְתוּקִים מִדְּבַשׁ וְנֹפֶת צוּפִים׃ | ||
| 11 | Moreover by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. | גַּם־עַבְדְּךָ נִזְהָר בָּהֶם בְּשָׁמְרָם עֵקֶב רָב׃ | ||
| 12 | But who can discern his errors? Clear me from hidden faults. | שְׁגִיאֹות מִי־יָבִין מִנִּסְתָּרֹות נַקֵּנִי׃ | ||
| 13 | Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. | גַּם מִזֵּדִים חֲשֹׂךְ עַבְדֶּךָ אַל־יִמְשְׁלוּ־בִי אָז אֵיתָם וְנִקֵּיתִי מִפֶּשַׁע רָב׃ | ||
| 14 | Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Yahweh, my rock and my redeemer. | יִהְיוּ לְרָצֹון אִמְרֵי־פִי וְהֶגְיֹון לִבִּי לְפָנֶיךָ יְהוָה צוּרִי וְגֹאֲלִי׃ | ||
