| Mark: 1 |
29 On leaving the synagogue they went straight to the house of Simon and Andrew; and James and John went with them. 30 Simon's mother-in-law was ill in bed with fever. 31 They told him about her at once. He came forward, took her by the hand, and helped her to her feet. The fever left her and she waited upon them .
32 That evening after sunset they brought to him all who were ill or possessed by devils; 33 and the whole town was there, gathered at the door. 34 He healed many who suffered from various diseases, and drove out many devils. He would not let the devils speak, because they knew who he was.

14 Jesus then went to Peter's house and found Peter's mother-in-law in bed with fever. 15 So he took her by the hand; the fever left her, and she got up and waited on him.
16 When evening fell, they brought to him many who were possessed by devils; and he drove the spirits out with a word and healed all who were ill, 17 to make good the prophecy of Isaiah: 'He took away our illnesses and lifted our diseases from us.'

| Luke: 4 |
38 On leaving the synagogue he went to Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was in the grip of a high fever; 39 and they asked him to help her. He came and stood over her and rebuked the fever. It left her, and she got up at once and waited on them.
40 At sunset all who had friends suffering from one disease or another brought them to him; and he laid his hands on them one by one and cured them. 41 Devils also came out of many of them, shouting, 'You are the Son of God.' But he rebuked them and forbade them to speak, because they knew that he was the Messiah.
