| Καὶ εἶδον ἀγγελον καταβαίνοντα ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἐχοντα τὴν κλεῖν τῆς ἀβύσσου καὶ ἀλυσιν μεγάλην ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ. |

| καὶ ἐκράτησεν τὸν δράκοντα, ὁ ὀφις ὁ ἀρχαῖος, ὁς ἐστιν διάβολος καὶ ὁ Σατανᾶς, καὶ ἐδησεν αὐτὸν χίλια ἐτη, |
And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, | |
| καὶ ἐβαλεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν ἀβυσσον καὶ ἐκλεισεν καὶ ἐσφράγισεν ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ ἵνα μὴ πλανήσῃ ἐτι τὰ ἐθνη ἀχρι τελεσθῇ τὰ χίλια ἐτη· μετὰ ταῦτα δεῖ λυθῆναι αὐτὸν μικρ ὸν χρόνον. |
and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while. | |

| οἱ λοιποὶ τῶν νεκρῶν οὐκ ἐζησαν ἀχρι τελεσθῇ τὰ χίλια ἐτη. αὑτη ἡ ἀνάστασις ἡ πρώτη. |
The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. | |
| μακάριος καὶ ἀγιος ὁ ἐχων μέρος ἐν τῇ ἀναστάσει τῇ πρώτῃ· ἐπὶ τούτων ὁ δεύτερος θάνατος οὐκ ἐχει ἐξουσίαν, ἀλλ' ἐσονται ἱερεῖς τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ Χριστοῦ, καὶ βασιλευ σουσιν μετ' αὐτοῦ [τὰ] χίλια ἔτη. |
Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years. | |
