2 ΠΕΤΡΟΥ Α Reference I Peter
The Example of Christ's Suffering 1Pe.2.18-25Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to the kind and gentle but also to the overbearing.
τοῦτο γὰρ χάρις εἰ διὰ συνείδησιν θεοῦ ὑποφέρει τις λύπας πάσχων ἀδίκως. For one is approved if, mindful of God, he endures pain while suffering unjustly.
For what credit is it, if when you do wrong and are beaten for it you take it patiently? But if when you do right and suffer for it you take it patiently, you have God's approval.
εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐκλήθητε, ὅτι καὶ Χριστὸς ἐπαθεν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, ὑμῖν ὑπολιμπάνων ὑπογραμμὸν ἵνα ἐπακολουθήσητε τοῖς ἰχνεσιν αὐτοῦ· For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
ὃς ἁμαρτίαν οὐκ ἐποίησεν
οὐδὲ εὑρέθη δόλος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ·
- He committed no sin 1Pe.2.22 | Is.53.9He committed no sin; no guile was found on his lips.
ὃς λοιδορούμενος οὐκ ἀντελοιδόρει, πάσχων οὐκ ἠπείλει, παρεδίδου δὲ τῷ κρίνοντι δικαίως·  When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but he trusted to him who judges justly.
ὃς τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν αὐτὸς ἀνήνεγκεν ἐν τῷ σώματι αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ ξύλον, ἵνα ταῖς ἀμαρτίαις ἀπογενόμενοι τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ ζήσωμεν· οὗ τῷ μώλωπι ἰάθητε.- He himself bore our sins in his body 1Pe.2.24 | Is.53.4He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
ἦτε γὰρ ὡς πρόβατα πλανώμενοι, ἀλλὰ ἐπεστράφητε νῦν ἐπὶ τὸν ποιμένα καὶ ἐπίσκοπον τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν.- For you were straying like sheep 1Pe.2.25 | Is.54.5For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
