12 ΚΑΤΑ ΛΟΥΚΑΝ Reference Luke
δοκεῖτε ὅτι εἰρήνην παρεγενόμην δοῦναι ἐν τῇ γῇ; οὐχί, λέγω ὑμῖν, ἀλλ' ἢ διαμερισμόν.  Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division;
ἐσονται γὰρ ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν πέντε ἐν ἑνὶ οἰκῳ διαμεμερισμένοι, τρεῖς ἐπὶ δυσὶν καὶ δύο ἐπὶ τρισίν,  for henceforth in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three;
διαμερισθήσονται πατὴρ ἐπὶ υἱῷ
καὶ υἱὸς ἐπὶ πατρί,
μήτηρ ἐπὶ τὴν θυγατέρα
θυγάτηρ ἐπὶ τὴν μητέρα,
πενθερὰ ἐπὶ τὴν νύμφην αὐτῆς
καὶ νύμφη ἐπὶ τὴν πενθεράν.
 they will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against her mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
