6 ΚΑΤΑ ΛΟΥΚΑΝ Reference Luke
Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις ἐξελθεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ ὀρος προσεύξασθαι, καὶ ἦν διανυκτερεύων ἐν τῇ προσευχῇ τοῦ θεοῦ. The Choosing of the Twelve Lk.6.12-16 | Mt.10.1-4 | Mk.3.13-19In these days he went out to the mountain to pray; and all night he continued in prayer to God.
καὶ ὅτε ἐγένετο ἡμέρα, προσεφώνησεν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐκλεξάμενος ἀπ' αὐτῶν δώδεκα, οὓς καὶ ἀποστόλους ὠνόμασεν,  And when it was day, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles;
Σίμωνα, ὃν καὶ ὠνόμασεν Πέτρον, καὶ Ἀνδρέαν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ἰάκωβον καὶ Ἰωάννην καὶ Φίλιππον καὶ Βαρθολομαῖον  Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew,
καὶ Μαθθαῖον καὶ Θωμᾶν καὶ Ἰάκωβον Ἀλφαίου καὶ Σίμωνα τὸν καλούμενον Ζηλωτὴν  and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,
καὶ Ἰούδαν Ἰακώβου καὶ Ἰούδαν Ἰσκαριώθ, ὃς ἐγένετο προδότης.  and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
