8 ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΡΚΟΝ Reference Mark
Καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ ἠρξαντο συζητεῖν αὐτῷ, ζητοῦντες παρ' αὐτοῦ σημεῖον ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, πειράζοντες αὐτόν.The Demand for a Sign Mk.8.11-13 | Mt.16.1-4 | Lk.12.54-56The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, to test him.
καὶ ἀναστενάξας τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ λέγει, Τί ἡ γενεὰ αὑτη ζητεῖ σημεῖον; ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, εἰ δοθήσεται τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ σημεῖον. And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation."
